    The weather is getting unconventionally cold in our region and it’s time we started truly taking others’ needs into consideration. There are all sorts of things you can do to make someone’s life better in this weather.

    However, if you don’t know where to start or who to contact, we’ve got you covered. Below are only some of the initiatives around the Middle East that should get you started:

     

     

    EGYPT

     

     

    Qowat Mokaf7et El Bard by Resala

     

    You can call this campaign if you know any person in need of supplies. They will find them and supply them with blankets and warm clothes. Find out more and how to contact them here.

     

     

    Satr W 3’ata

     

    This campaign focuses on villages and rural areas of Egypt. You can call them on 95530 or find out more about them here.

     

     

    Tawzee3 Batateen

     

    That’s another blanket-collecting-and-donating campaign that is geared towards fishermen’s families in Bohayrat Al Manzala. Call them on 01006604547 or find out more about how you can contribute here.

    Yalla Beena Nenqezhom Mel Bard

     

    These guys collect and donate everything from food to clothes and blankets. They target those in need all around Egypt. They also don’t just take donations, you can volunteer with them as well. Find out how you can participate here.

     

     

    Sheta2 Dafe2

     

    This campaign is based in Alexandria and it mainly focuses on renovating houses and constructing ceilings in order to make people’s housing more suitable for this weather. They’re also collecting blankets, beds and mattresses. Find out how you can be a part of this here.

     

     

    3’ateeny

     

    On their 7th edition, 3’ateeny campaign is aiming to collect thousands of blankets for those in need. They accept both used and new blankets. You can find more information about them here.

     

     

    UAE

     

     

    In the fourth winter of the Syrian conflict, thousands of refugees are struggling to stay warm amidst the biting cold and snow.

    UAE Compassion

     

    Initiated by Sheikh Khalifa himself, this campaign aims at collecting blankets and other supplies primarily for Syrian refugees. You can donate 100 Dhs by sending a blank text message to 7100 or 200 Dhs by sending one t0 7200.

     

     

    UAE’s Red Crescent

     

    They run charity campaigns throughout the entire year, but this winter they are focusing on collecting blankets and food for those in the Levant who are suffering from Storm Huda and other extreme weather conditions.

    Shetweyetna Adfa by Basmetna
