Winter is fast approaching with temperatures dropping and many of us taking out our blankets and fuzzy socks in preparation for the upcoming cold season. Wearing heavy clothes is no longer enough to beat the cold and these days we need more creative ways to keep warm this season. We curated some fun and unique ways to do so this winter.

    Wool Thermal Wear

Concealed below your clothes are what many refer to as thermal wear which are known as long-sleeved undershirts and pants that cover the legs and arms. You need to make them your best friend in winter as they really do warm you up by trapping your body heat and stopping it from escaping. Today, Egypt has its very own brand specialized in thermal wear known as Thermos that is known to retain one’s body temperature for many hours. Their long-sleeved undershirts and pants come in many colors and are also made for kids. To learn more about Thermos, you can check out their official Instagram page.

    Heatable Blankets

For many people, getting cozy during winter means wrapping yourself in a warm blanket but do you know that there is a way to warm up even more? With heatable blankets that get plugging into an outlet, heat will be distributed throughout the blanket, offering warmth throughout. Best part about it is that it will warm your entire body and do so for many hours while you’re lying in bed or lazing on the sofa. There are several of these blankets available online.

    Heating Bottles

Imagine you are sitting at home during one of those days when it’s so cold and coupled with that, you are suffering from a cold. That combo can make it hard to warm up no matter how many layers of blankets you wrap around you. That is when heating bottles come in known as big water bottles that get filled with hot water and are sealed with a stopper. By placing them on your stomach, you warm up instantly for several hours. The beauty of heating bottles is that you can find them at any pharmacy or your can even buy them online through Amazon.

    Winter Robes & Wearable Blankets

After a hot shower, a lot of the times we’d have this craving of cuddling up in a warm, fuzzy outfit and a great go-to are winter robes. A lot of cool local brands have been making their own version of the warm and fuzzy robe. Our favorites include In Your Shoe who have created some robes with funky designs including their purple fuzzy robe stitched with the words “Serial Chiller” and “Busy Doing Nothing”. Along with that, a special brand called BKY created a robe that you can actually go out with. They are known as blankets that can be worn on top of your clothes and they come in many colors including royal red and dark grey.

    Heated Socks

It is undeniable that one of the parts of the body that get extremely cold during winter are our extremities that is why we end up layering on socks. Sometimes, we’d want to feel even warmer and that is when heated socks come in. They function just like heated blankets by getting plugged in and having the heat spread throughout the sock. You can get your hands on these heated socks by buying them online through Amazon.

    Ear Muffs

Along with getting warm at home with blankets, socks and the like, you can also warm up outside but also do it in style by wearing furry ear muffs. This unique accessory keeps your ears warm and can help tap into your inner barbie especially through the popular fluffy pink ear muffs. To get your hands on a pair you can buy them through several online platforms.

Using any of these ways will help you keep warm during the upcoming cold months whether at home through the heated socks or blanket or outside through the thermal wear.
