It is that time once again in the year when the young ones among us pack up their school bags, zip up their laptop sleeves, and get on that bus. Whether you are a school or college student, soon enough, the new study year will be calling. To get you in the mood for the upcoming months, these songs live and breathe the fun and exciting air of school and college:

Kajwelo – Saeidi Fil Gameaa Al Amerikeya

Back when it was released, it was a song that propelled Mohamed Henedy to major stardom. Today, it transformed into something bigger, a go-to song for DJs, one that gets remixed into their ever-evolving playlists and gets everyone on the dance floor.

This is the song that saw Henedy tap into his cool in his attempts to fit in at the American University in Cairo as an Upper Egyptian scholarship student who was a fish out of water. It is an anthem to any new kid out there ready to take on new and uncharted educational waters!

Laylo Laylo – El Basha Telmeez

An undercover cop is roaming about as a student in an Egyptian college. Yeah, you heard that right. That is the main plot of one of the ultimate 2000s cinematic classics, El Basha Telmeez. Kareem Abdel Aziz nails the role as expected, and along with that, the movie gave us some fun songs to dance to.

Meet “Laylo Laylo,” a song performed by Ramez Galal, Ghada Adel, and Maha Ahmed, the trio of bandmates rocking performances across their uni campus. This song will give you that push to get your friends together and finally launch your dream band!

Qulo Inshallah  – El Thalatha Yeshtaghlooha

Okay, hear us out on this one. You get to watch Yasmin Abdel Aziz as she explores a career as a teacher at her old school after graduating top of her class. Not only that, you’ll also get to watch her perform some fun songs including “Qulo Inshallah”.

Rakasono – Saeidi Fil Gameaa Al Amerikeya

We are back again with the ultimate classic for schools and colleges: “Saeidi Fil Gameaa Al Amerikeya.” It is yet another song by Henedy, and this time, it is all about dancing it out.

Shawyet Eyal Magnoona- El Basha Telmeez

Seeing as how we are sticking to school and college classics, we are once again going to mention El Basha Telmeez. This time, the song is called “Shawyet 3eyal Magnoona” and it is all about the shenanigans that school friends get into together. It will make you get excited about reuniting with your posse.

Now, during your upcoming commute to school or college, put on your favorite earphones and listen to these songs to get you in the mood for the new year.
