    Whether it’s escaping the dangers of war at home or being presented with an amazing work opportunity, Arabs are moving to and around the United States constantly. Taking a look back at the 2010 US Census – American Community Survey, we see that the population of Arab Americans has been growing rapidly and spread across the 50 states. Here are the top 15 states where Arabs live:

    Most Arabs reside within Montgomery and Baltimore county. In the past 25 years, there’s been an increase of Moroccan and Sudanese Americans in the state.

    While more than 50% of the Arab population is Egyptian, the number Iraqi and Lebanese Americans residents have increased in Georgia. The majority of the Arab community live in and around ATL.

    With the population spread across Raleigh-Durham and Charolette, the population of Arabs is diverse with a growing number Sudanese and Egyptian community.

    Arizona holds the largest percentage of Moroccans living in a state, with the Arab community living mostly in Phoenix with a smaller population living in Tucson.

    Fairfax county is home to the majority of Arabs in the state, with a growing Sudanese and Moroccan community.

    The vast majority of the population lives in Pittsburgh followed by Philly.

    With a growing Moroccan and Egyptian population, a bulk of the community resided within Boston.

    With over 50% Arabs claiming Syrian or Lebanese decent, the community as whole is spread across Cleveland, Columbus and Toledo.

    While Palestinians and Lebanese are almost equal in population, Chaldeans and Assyrians are the largest self-reported group in the state. Most of the Arab overwhelmingly reside within or in the greater Chicago area.

    By far the largest percentage of Egyptians with a consistent income of immigrants from the country live here. Many Arab live in Passaic, Hudson and Bergen County.

    With a growing income of Jordanians and Egyptians, most Arab Americans in the lone star state call Dallas, San Antonio and Houston home.

    One of the top five states where Arabs reside, it’s the only one where the percentage of Syrians is larger than the Egyptians. Most Arabs live in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando (who doesn’t love Disney?)

    The largest population resides in Brooklyn, followed by Queens, with the largest groups being Lebanese, Egyptian and Syrian.

    Dearborn, amrite? A third of Arab Americans in Michigan immigrated from Iraq after the Gulf war and again after the Iraqi war. Invade Arab countries and Arabs will return the favor, and return home with you.

    It’s no surprise that state that shares the same beauty of the Mediterranean is home to many Arabs with a huge Lebanese, Egyptian, Syrian and Palestinian population. While many Arabs live in NorCal — mainly the Bay Area, South Bay, and Sacramento — the largest density of Arabs is in SoCal — LA, San Diego and Orange County.
