Too Many to Choose From? We List Ramadan 2024 Series Must-Watch & Why

A year is 12 months. However, in Egypt, it’s 11 months + Ramadan. Yes, Ramadan is that special and different in Egypt.

One of the cornerstones of Ramadan is its plethora of TV series. Just a couple of months before the holy month, trailers begin flooding our TVs.

With many series options out there, you might feel a bit overwhelmed; maybe the paradox of choice has already kicked in.

In a super quick way, we’ll go through most of the Ramadan series after watching their trailers and curate their themes in case you want some help with your choice. Now, prepare your pen and paper (or online notepad) and hop in.

    IF You’re a History Fan…

History buffs should prepare themselves for an artistic ride in Karim Abdel Aziz’s “El Hashashin,” narrating the mystical story of history’s most famous assassins.

    IF You’re Into Light Comedy…

Nelly Karim stars in ‘Farawla‘ as someone striving to work whatever job to achieve wealth quickly. We’re picking up comedy vibes reminiscent of ‘Sokkar’s 100 Wesh.’

    IF You’re Into Revenge & Ghada Abdelrazek…

Yes, Ghada Abdel Razek’s name is iconic in and of itself. She’ll be starring in ‘Seid El A’areb‘ as a woman working in the scorpion business (suits her, right?). As we already know about Ghada, she’s that strong, bold woman who’ll take revenge for her family.

    IF You’re Into Influencers…

Surprisingly, in ‘Attabat Al Bahga,’ Yehya El Fakharany stars as a YouTube influencer who’s making waves in the online world. A very unexpected portrayal since most people playing these roles are younger (we’re not judging). We can’t wait for El Fakharany’s captivating performance, though.

    IF You’re Into Fantasy…

Coming straight from the enchanting world of Alf Leila W Leila is ‘Gawdar,’ starring Yasser Galal, a tale of a man stranded on an island for ten years. Get ready to immerse yourself in top-notch fantasy vibes.

    IF You’re Into Long-Running Shows…

People who cannot not commit, raise your hands. Sometimes, we can’t just stop a series until it ends, even if its quality declines. We hope that’s not the case with Mekky’s ‘Al Kabeer Awy,’ as he’s back with Season 8 of the series. Are you in or out?

    IF You’re Into Family Secrets…

If you’re into family secrets and drama, ‘Masar Egbari’ takes center stage, narrating the story of Ahmed Dash and Essam Omar, two brothers who face the uncovering of a family secret that sends their lives south. Basma and Sabreen are also charming in the trailer.

    IF You’re Into Inheritance Saga…

Family dynamics, who’s the boss, inheritance issues, disputes over titles — if you’re into inheritance drama, then you’re in for a treat with Amir Karara’s ‘Beit El Refaay.’

    IF You’re Into Thrillers…

Asser Yassien’s ‘Bedon Sabek Enzar’ isn’t disclosing a lot in its trailers. We just feel a glimpse of regret mixed with a thriller theme.

    IF You’re Into Dad Drama…

If you’re already used to his out-of-the-box comedies, you need to go ahead and watch ‘Baba Geh,’ Akram Hosny’s newest drama this Ramadan. We feel some sort of wordplay, father for rent, and more.

    IF You’re Into Nostalgia…

This one takes us way back. In the drama version of ‘Imbratoreyt Meem,’ Khaled el Nabawy recreates Faten Hamama’s masterpiece, originally written by Ihsan Abdel Kudos.

    IF You’re Into Female-Led Heists…

In a comedic twist, three women band together to pull off daring money heists. Ghada Adel, Gamila Awad, and Fadwa Abed will surely entertain us in ‘Lunch Box.’

    IF You’re Into Suspense

One of the best Ramadan trailers this year, ‘Lahzet Ghadab,’ portrays a chef, Saba Mubarak, who goes into conflict with her husband. The level of suspense and tension in the trailer will keep you on the edge.

    IF You’re Into Coincidences…

Yeah, we’re playing with words. Reham Haggag’s latest project, ‘Sodfa,’ features her witty character named Sodfa. We hope this year’s coincidence brings us something pleasant to enjoy.

    IF You’re Into Courtroom Drama…

Mai Omar, in her second leading role, stars in ‘Ne’ma El Avocado‘ as a lawyer facing lots of struggles in her life.

    IF You’re Into Kids-Based Family Drama…

Gather your spirits and prepare yourself for ‘Kamel el Adad +1,’ the second season of ‘Kamel el Adad.’ Dina El Sherbeeny and Sherif Salama surprised us with amazing on-screen chemistry last Ramadan, and now they’re back with a double agent: a new child.

    IF You’re Into Action…

In ‘Haa’ Arab,’ Ahmed El Awady takes the leading role in a drama for the first time. With his charismatic and bold portrayal, we can already feel the action building.

IF You’re Into Action, Suspense & Family Drama…

Ahmed El Sakka, Tarek Lotfy, Zeina, Bassem Samra, and May Kassab – this talented lineup comes together in ‘Al Atawla,’ with the trailer showcasing some top-tier suspense and action storylines.

    IF You’re Into Supernatural…

In Part 4 of ‘Al Madah,’ Hamada Helal returns with his supernatural story, filled with events and premises that require strong hearts to continue watching.

    IF You’re Into Family Connections…

‘Selat Rahem,’ with Iyad Nassar, Asmaa Abu El Yazeed, and Yosra El Lozy, gather up in a spicy drama that discusses a taboo topic – surrogacy.

    IF You’re Into Crazy Storylines…

In ‘Khaled Noor w Waladoh Noor Khalid,’ Shiko plays Karim Mahmoud Abdelaziz’s son, portraying creative and story perspectives that we can’t wait to see some top-tier comedy.

    IF You’re Into House Chores & Babysitting…

In ‘Ashghal Shaa,’ Hesham Majid and Asmaa Galal, a married couple awaiting their baby, face the challenge of managing their lives as they seek a babysitter to handle household chores in a comedic scene.

    IF You’re Into Adventure…

Mohammed Imam stars in ‘Kobra’ as a car repair worker who finds himself in a series of hilarious problems with gunshots all over the trailer.

IF You’re Into the Dark Side of Social Media…

In ‘A’ala Nesbet Moishahda,’ Salma Abu Deif takes on her first leading role in this social media-based series. Apparently, her videos go viral, and we witness the turmoil as emotions run high in the trailer.

    IF You’re Into Feminism…

Rogina, in her fourth starring role, is the woman facing all conflicts in her life and people trying to take her down in ‘Ser Ellahy.’

    What Should You Watch?

Now, to help you make a choice, choose your top 10 from the list, then cut it to the top 5, or just watch the 10 and enjoy. Just focus on what theme and category you’re interested in, and finalize your list.

    Have a good watch!
