Eid holds so many traditions that we enjoy year after year, from the first morning coffee after a month of fasting, to eating “kahk” and visiting your family and friends. The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic will make this Eid a little different; we won’t be able to visit our families and we won’t be able to practice Eid prayers in mosques, everything will be locked down. However, one Eid tradition won’t be affected by the lockdown, watching comedic plays!
This tradition has been going strong for years, with TV channels always airing our favorite nostalgic plays, and with the digital age, you can now even watch many of them in HD on Netflix. These plays have produced some of the most everlasting jokes that people still use until now, and it’s literally impossible to get bored of watching them again and again.
The jokes aren’t the only great thing that these plays have produced; throughout the years, these plays generated legends, literally. Think Adel Emam, Saeid Saleh, Ahmed Zaki, and Younes Shalaby.
