The Second Half of Ramadan Shows: More Twists, More Drama

Ramadan TV season always hits differently, but this year’s second half lineup? Absolute fire. With a mix of high-stakes drama, fresh comedy, and even a murder mystery, we’re getting everything we could ask for.

Whether it’s fan-favorite actors switching things up or stories that hit a little too close to home, here is the full line-up:

    Lam Shamsiya

Amina Khalil and Mariam Naoum are back together after Khali Balak Mn Zizi and El Harsha El Sabaa, which already means we’re in for something major. Khalil plays Nelly, an international school teacher and mother, in a drama tackling what seems like child harassment head-on.

The show already looks like an emotional roller coaster, and with Ahmed El-Saadany playing the father, expect some intense moments.

    Al Ghawy

Ahmed Mekky is ditching El Kebeer’s galabeya and stepping into something totally different. In Al Ghawy he’s a thug trying to go clean and raise his son right—but obviously, it won’t be that simple. The mix of action, drama, and that signature Mekky charm has us excited to see him in a whole new light.

    Nos El Shaab Esmo Mohamed

In Nos El Shaab Esmo Mohamed, Essam Omar plays an AC engineer so bored with life, he decides to date two opposite girls at the same time and marry them both. Spoiler: it doesn’t go well. With Rania Youssef in the mix, this one’s bound to be pure chaos (good one, though).

    Aysha El Dor

Donia Samir Ghanem is back, and let’s be real, her comedies never miss. From Nelly in Nelly w Sherihan to Lahfa in Lahfa El Halawany, she’s given us some of the funniest Ramadan roles ever.

This time, she plays a divorced mom juggling a teenage daughter and daily struggles. She gets a second shot at life when she secretly takes her niece’s spot at university.

Between playing the perfect mother and reliving her youth, we are excited to see what she will come up with in Aysha El Dor.

    Qahwet Al Mahatta

A murder mystery set in a café? Sounds like Murder on the Orient Express but with Ahmed Ghazy, Hala Sedky, and Ahmed Khaled Saleh leading the charge. With Ghazy on the rise as a full-on heartthrob, Qahwet Al Mahatta is definitely on our radar. If done right, it could be a Ramadan favorite for mystery lovers.

    Hisbat Omry

Rogina is bringing the drama and the laughs in Hisbat Omry! When her husband kicks her out, she decides to divorce him and claim half his assets. Cue chaos.

With Amr Abdel-Galil’s comedic charm, this series blends comedy and social issues effortlessly. The series is directed by Mai Mamdouh, known for her work in Teleat Rohy and Zay El Shams.

    Shabab Emraa

Ghada Abdel Razek is revamping the iconic Shabab Emraa for a whole new era! The powerful merchant Shafaat sets her sights on a naive young guy, but when he falls for someone else, jealousy turns into revenge.

Expect drama, scandal, and a fresh take on this classic. The director Ahmed Hassan, known for Amal Hayaty and Ila Ana, is bringing this iconic tale with fresh twists!

    Montahy ElSalaheya

Life comes at you fast—just ask Saleh. One work mistake lands him in prison, his wife leaves, and his daughter barely speaks to him. Post-prison, he tries to rebuild, but online gambling drags him into even darker territory.

Director Tamer Nady, best known for El Kebeer Awy and last year’s masterpiece Selat Rahem, brings his signature style to this story of redemption and survival. With Mohamed Farag and Yasmine Raees leading the cast, Montahy ElSalahya delivers an intense and gripping thriller.

    Zolm El Mastaba

Love, power, and revenge—rural style! Hassan and Hamada both love Rabia, but while Hassan is away, Hamada swoops in and marries her. Meanwhile, Sheikh Alaa tightens his grip on the town.

Directors Hany Khalifa, known for Rehla 404, and Mohamed Ali, director of Lama Kona Soghayareen, bring the story to life with their masterful storytelling. The cast of Zolm El Mastaba is no less stellar, including Eyad Nassar, Reham Abdel Ghafour, and Fathy Abdel Wahab.

From emotional deep dives to chaotic love triangles and even some detective work, this year’s second-half lineup is looking stronger than ever. Whether you’re here for the drama, the nostalgia, or just some good old-fashioned comedy, Ramadan TV is delivering. Which one are you watching first?

Malak cannot seem to get enough of Literature - so much so that she has pursued it in both her BA and MA, and the love affair is still going strong. Aside from her love for words, humans generally fascinate her. She spends a lot of her time analyzing the minds of people around her and watching criminal minds. She is still fairly new in adulthood, and until now, nothing has made sense in life but chocolate.
