Authorities in Alexandria have uncovered a series of murders linked to a lawyer known as the “Maamoura killer.” They discovered three bodies in two apartments he had rented and are still investigating further into the matter.
The Maamoura Killer’s First Victim
The first victim was the suspect’s wife by common-law marriage. Following ongoing disputes, he killed her, placed her body in plastic bags, and buried her in the ground-floor apartment he was living in. He kept the remains hidden for months before committing another murder in the same location.
How She Was Discovered
The Maarmoura killer’s first crime came to light with the second one. The two victims were found together, prompting authorities to investigate the lawyer.
The Maamoura Killer’s Second Victim
Eight months after the first killing, the suspect murdered a female client over a disagreement regarding legal fees. He buried her in the same rented apartment.
How She Was Discovered
The crime was uncovered when another woman, also married to the suspect in a common-law marriage, stumbled upon the locked room. Upon entering, she discovered the bodies and screamed, calling on neighbors to alert the authorities.
The Maamoura Killer’s Third Victim
A third body was found in a separate apartment in the Asafra area, also rented by the suspect. The body belonged to a man reported missing three years ago.
The victim’s daughter recalled a troubling final phone call in which he struggled to speak and cryptically told her to send his greetings to deceased relatives, raising concerns about his safety. Soon after, he vanished.
How He Was Discovered
Neighbors in Asafra recognized the serial killer upon hearing of his arrest. They were aware of a locked apartment in his possession and feared it could hold similar evidence. So, they reported their suspicions to the police, leading to the discovery.
The case remains active as authorities work to uncover the full extent of the Maarmoura killer’s crimes.
