The Best and Worst Couples to Ever Grace Ramadan Series

Some Ramadan series couples make you believe in love, while others make you question why anyone gets married. Between heartwarming romances and absolute disasters, these on-screen relationships leave a lasting impression. Here are the couples that made us swoon—and the ones that made us run.

    Couples that Are a 10/10

Not all Ramadan series couples are chaotic disasters. Some are proof that love can survive anything—whether it’s a dozen kids, life-changing challenges, or just pure madness. These duos were made for each other, and we were so here for it.

Ahmed & Layla – Kamel El Adad

Ahmed and Layla each come with their own package—a full-on gang of kids. They fall in love, and suddenly, they’re raising a whole football team together. A heartwarming series that gives Cheaper by the Dozen vibes, proving that love can survive absolute chaos.

Amina and Selim – Halawet El Donya

In Halawet El Donya, Amina finds out she has cancer right before her wedding, and her fiancé dips faster than you can say “red flag.” Enter Selim, the definition of supportive and understanding. Together, they learn to live life to the fullest and discover the true beauty of life, even in the hardest moments.

Zizi & Mourad – Khalli Balak Min Zizi

Zizi has ADHD and has spent her whole life struggling to be understood. Fresh out of a messy divorce, she starts falling for her lawyer—questionable? It’s actually the opposite. Mourad is her safe space—he helps her find a therapist, work through her childhood trauma, and truly figure herself out. That’s real love.

Sherihan & Hany El Dabdoob – Nelly Wa Sherihan

The Ramadan Series Nelly wa Sherihan crafted a love story that is simply comedic gold. It gave us Sherihan and Hany El Dabdoob, who are soulmates, period. No explanation is needed.

    Couples That Are Straight-Up Toxic

Now that we’ve soaked up all the lovey-dovey energy, it’s time to go back to reality. Not all Ramadan series couples were worth rooting for—some had us yelling at our screens, questioning their choices, and hoping they’d break up. These pairs? We didn’t ship them one bit.

    Hania & Ali – Taht El-Saytara

Hania and Ali. Where do we even start? Huge age gap? Check. Both drug addicts? Check. Leaves her in the desert with drug dealers in exchange for drugs? Double check. It literally couldn’t get worse.

Rouh & Akram – Bitlou’ Al Rouh

Remember Ezzat from Welad El’am kidnapping his wife and taking her to Israel? Akram, in Bitlou’ Al Rouh, took a page from Ezzat’s book and forced his wife to go to a Daesh base in Syria. Major villain energy.

Dr. Osama & Rania – Al Rehla

Dr. Osama really said “for better or worse” and then locked his wife Rania away for six whole years. Unhinged doesn’t even begin to cover it.

    Hisham & Jamila – Le A’la Se’r

Hisham has Jamila quit ballet and wear a niqab—only to cheat on her with her best friend, who does all the things he stops Jamila from doing. Husband of the Year goes to… not him.

Ramadan series never fail to serve us iconic couples—some we’d love to be, and others we’d never wish on our worst enemy. Whether it’s pure romance or pure chaos, one thing’s for sure: they always keep us entertained!

Malak cannot seem to get enough of Literature - so much so that she has pursued it in both her BA and MA, and the love affair is still going strong. Aside from her love for words, humans generally fascinate her. She spends a lot of her time analyzing the minds of people around her and watching criminal minds. She is still fairly new in adulthood, and until now, nothing has made sense in life but chocolate.
