Male actors of Egypt, We’re sorry to tell you, but women just kicked you off the mosalsalat throne this year. Ramadan 2016 has witnessed epic talent, outstanding performances, wicked comebacks and actresses who have thrived in their 50s and more.

A few male actors, as Yehia ElFakharany and the cast of Grand Hotel especially Mohamed Mamdouh, have definitely left their mark this year, but guess what? Everyone is going on and on about the females of Ramadan.

    Dina El-Sherbini

If you think her role in Grand Hotel is outstanding, you need to see her as a manipulative seductress in Afrah El-Obba. Yekhreb beet gamalek.

    Sawsan Badr

    BBtF5JK

We have never seen a mother as vicious and hateful as Sawsan Badr’s role in Afrah El-Obba. PERFECTION personified.

    Mona Zaki

    13312831_1199372753419647_8689419525334221668_n

We’ve missed her and couldn’t be happier that she’s back on our screens with an intense role as Ta7eya in Afrah El-Obba. It’s been a while since she starred in a jaw-dropping series like this year’s. She was the only woman who mattered in our teenage years.

    Youssra

    o-YUSRA-570

Psycho killer on loose is the perfect role for Youssra. We don’t know why she ever played the good girl.

    Sabrine

    afrah_al_qubah_r16

We had no idea Sabrine had it in her. She nailed the Oum Kalthoum role years ago but for some reason we did not see this acting coming. Simply put, WOW!

    Lebleba

    64047_Details.jpg

Did she just steal ElZa3im’s thunder?

    Rania Youssef

Rania does it again, and again, and again. Every year she delivers well and this year was no different, with her killer role in Afrah El-Obba.

    Saba Mubarak

    saba31-5-2016

Hands down, the prettiest, hottest, most intense, vicious and kick-a** woman on TV. I literally google which mosalsal she’ll be in every year to follow her. I don’t want to sound creepy but I honestly want to be Saba Mubarak. She’s the perfect female specimen.

Miss Candy – V.O by Engy Wagdan

FYI, CBC released an Egyptian cartoon show called Sayd Android, and it is hilarious. Yet, one woman again stole the light from the leading man Sayed, A.K.A Mohamed Henedy, and she’s Candy. She brings sass like no other animated girl.

    Nelly Karim

    سقوط2-590x338

It doesn’t matter what we think of her mosalsal this year, she proved herself three years in a row, and is still one of the top ladies every year. She’s brilliant.

    Ghada Abdul Raziq

Screen Shot 2016-06-29 at 9.48.42 PM

I don’t understand how no one is talking about El-Khanka, it’s one of my 3 favorite series this year. This woman has been on top for years and she’s not going anywhere. Ghada Abdul Raziq is Ramadan.

    Anoushka

    2797531179699606004

Why did this incredible woman ever sing when she had those acting skills?

    Amina Khalil

Screen Shot 2016-06-29 at 9.44.46 PM

Beauty, elegance and a heart-warming performance. Nazly in Grand Hotel is every girl’s envy and every man’s dream. This is what role models should look and behave like to inspire the younger generation.

    Safaa ElToukhy

    900x450_uploads,2016,06,16,d24e1f81fb

ElSahl ELMomtana3 is the only way to describe this actress. It feels so natural, she gives real life vibes so effortlessly. We love her.

    Donia and Amy Samir Ghanem

    نيلى-وشريهان-4

Instead of giving us two hilarious Ramadan series like Lahfa and Heba Regl ElGhorab, the sisters joined forces and gave us one epic mosalsal, Nelly and Sherihan, and they are already one of the most viewed series in 2016.

    Nada Moussa

    5773a0e250e9a

I absolutely love this girl. Nada is the perfect and modern Cinderella sister. There is something captivating about evil women this year, we can’t help but fall in love with them.

WE SAID THIS: Sorry, not sorry at all. Girl power is definitely real this year.
