Since quarantine days aren’t the busiest and many of us aren’t really used to spending that much time cooped up indoors, it became a little bit challenging to stay cheerful when boredom and unpleasant thoughts start hovering over your head. That’s why we’ve listed for you a bunch of books that will for sure help lift your spirits. Scroll down to pick your new favorite book!

“How to Stop Worrying and Start Living” by Dale Carnegie

    Via Kobo

Since we’re talking about how to maintain a positive mindset here, this book had to top the list. The self-help classic holds the mirror up to us, portraying all the negative patterns of thinking and behavior, providing actionable techniques to help you put an end to them. It’s a bit of a harsh journey, yet definitely worth going through.

“El Khorog ‘an El Nas” by Mohamed Taha

    Via Fekra

An enlightening book that definitely has to be on your list. It gives you an insight into the nature of one’s psychology and how to become aware of it by taking your capabilities into a whole new level. The way it depicts stages of an inner journey, embracing your flaws and cutting off toxic traits is so awakening and will definitely get you out of line.

“The Forty Rules of Love” by Elif Shafak

    Via Your PDF

This book is a bit different since it’s a novel, yet it serves the purpose with plot twists and interrelated characters being the cherry on top. It pushes you to look into the simplest of matters from a wider, deeper perspective. Simple, yet deep. I’m telling you, you’re not the same person after reading this masterpiece, life lessons in disguise. You can pick your choice of either reading the English or the Arabic version as both are available!

    “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne

    Via byElizabeth

This best-seller simply tackles the power of energy and law of attraction highlighting that believing in one’s energy can attract blessings. It makes you realize you’re more capable than you might think you are. As the author mentioned, “99% of who you are is invisible and untouchable.” Positivity comes from within, just dig deeper!

“Fast Track To Happiness” By Lynda Field

    Via Amazon

We need a perfect plan for anything we want to achieve in life, and this includes reaching for positivity. That’s why Lynda Field’s book provides you with step-by-step clear guidelines, quizzes, and exercises to help you monitor your emotions and spot the issues standing in the way of your happiness. With dedication and understanding, this book will be your fastest track to happiness indeed.

“The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck” by Mark Manson

    Via Amazon

The irony when it comes to that book lies in the fact that it contradicts most of the traditional positive psychology books, including the ones mentioned above, yet it was a bestseller. Instead of the traditional tips of monitoring yourself and finding happiness, the book simply spares both of your energy and time by telling you that sorrow and obstacles are inevitable, so instead of avoiding them, just learn not to worry much and embrace them because challenges are what spice up our lives and give them meaning.
