After the smashing success of “El Nehaya” during 2020’s Ramadan race, scenarist Amr Samir Atef confirmed that he’s currently preparing for a part two of the television tale. “El Nehaya” marks a milestone in setting new expectations for both the Sci-Fi genre and production of Egyptian TV series. It’s considered the first of its kind since Egyptian drama hasn’t been so familiar with the science fiction category. The huge praise and success the series witnessed this Ramadan season is what triggered the scenarist to go for a sequel.
The scenarist stressed over the fact that he doesn’t know when exactly it will be released; there is no official timing when the series will be aired on Egyptian television as Amr Samir Atef noted. “The new season might be out next Ramadan season or the one after,” said scenarist Amr Samir Atef, according to El Youm El Sabe’.
Knowing the story hasn’t ended yet and there’s more to explore will definitely keep us all excited till next Ramadan (or the one after)!
