Cristiano Ronaldo has raised the bar in the Saudi Pro League by scoring his 34th and 35th goals in Al Nassr’s last game of the season. This breaks the old record of 34 goals set by Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah in the 2018-19 season.
Just before halftime, Ronaldo, who had already seen two goals disallowed for offside, controlled a long pass from Mohammed Al Fatil with his chest and scored with a low shot from the left side of the penalty area.
Ronaldo shared his happiness on Instagram, stating, “I don’t follow the records; the records follow me.”
Despite his record-breaking achievements, Al Nassr ended the season in second place, 14 points behind the champion, Al Hilal.
Since joining Al-Nassr on a free transfer in January 2023 after leaving Manchester United, the Portuguese forward has scored 64 goals in 69 matches across all competitions.
This win secured Al-Nassr’s second-place finish in the league for the second year in a row, finishing 14 points behind champions Al-Hilal and 17 points ahead of third-placed Al-Ahli.
Ronaldo’s remarkable career now includes 765 goals over 22 years, having played for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus. He also holds the Men’s Record for international goals, with 128 goals in 206 appearances for Portugal.
At 39 years old, Ronaldo continues to break records and deliver outstanding performances, solidifying his legacy and inspiring people around the world for generations to come.
