Basketball enthusiasts in Egypt are already marking their calendars for one of the most exciting events in recent years, as Red Bull Egypt announced that they’ll host a Half Court Tournament!
The 3v3 basketball tournament is bred from the streets, and now can take their players to an international level! Three players in each team will compete in half a court and only one basket to produce a very exciting and fast-paced match.
In order to apply you only need to be over 18 years old, and have a team of three or four players who can win the challenge, and each team needs only EGP400 to register in the tournament! The team who’ll win the competition in Egypt will go on to represent us in the international tournament against 15 other teams from other countries!
Teams advance by winning games, but there is of course also a unique Red Bull twist to the game – the “Own the Court” bonus. The bonus is awarded to the team in each group that has scored the most points cumulatively across the games. Which means that even if you don’t win the most games you still might make it through!
