This month, on the 23rd to be precise, Abu Dhabi’s Formula One Grand Prix is taking over the Yas Marina Circuit, and we literally can’t wait nor afford to miss it!

The Grand Prix events are known to be every adult’s ultimate dream, but contrary to popular belief, it’s also perfect for families. In fact, it’s so family-friendly that you’ll definitely need some serious time-management skills to fit all the activities you’re allowed to access with your F1 ticket in only three days!

There are numerous possibilities of how you can plan your fun-packed weekend with your family. The facilities and attractions of YAS Island are guaranteed to make the trip worth your while. Whether it’s the endless water activities in YAS Waterworld, the thrill-packed adventure in Ferrari World, or the perfect combination of fun and chillaxing on YAS Beach. The Grand Prix is definitely way more than just the races!

In addition to the diverse activities, Yas Island will be loaded with concerts and after parties at different venues around the island, with globally renowned acts such as Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, French Montana, Craig David, DJ Tiesto, Carl Cox, Pink, and Kendrick Lamar! For the concerts, you can upgrade your experience with the Golden Circle upgrade, which will take you to the closest section to the stage!

We’ve decided to compile a list of things you probably didn’t know you could do during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix!

    YAS Waterworld

Start your F1 weekend with a light snack, then instantly delve into an insane adventure that is filled with endless choices of exciting water games and slides. YAS Waterworld has over 45 rides of slides and attractions, which basically means that you’ll probably need more than a day to fully experience it. Good luck!

We recommend going on the entertaining slither’s slides, bandit bomber, and the Hamlool’s humps — among other selection of junketing activities. And if you’re new to flowboarding, you certainly don’t want to miss trying the Rush Rider!

A post shared by Yas Waterworld (@yaswaterworld) on Oct 15, 2017 at 8:32am PDT

The Marah Fortress at the YAS Waterworld is literally the ultimate water playground for children. Slides, dumping buckets, a water-shooting geyser, water cannons, and more fun activities for you and your family.

    Ferrari World

A post shared by Ferrari World Abu Dhabi (@ferrariworldabudhabi) on Aug 22, 2017 at 9:16am PDT

Apart from the fact that you can take your entire family to the world’s fastest roller coaster, a day spent in Ferrari World is unquestionably well spent! You and your little daredevils can have an adrenaline packed day full of exciting rides and interesting shows.

Grab a coffee at the Italian Espresso Rosso Cafe to get you ready and pumped up for the Ferrari Experience. Have your kids cruise Italy in Bell’Italia, reach 240 km/h in less than 4.9 seconds with Formula Rossa, or fly the world’s highest roller coaster with Flying Aces, and you’ll certainly catch up with the racing vibes all over the Island.

A post shared by Ferrari World Abu Dhabi (@ferrariworldabudhabi) on Jun 16, 2017 at 3:19am PDT

After scouting the Galleria Ferrari museum, and seeing how Ferraris are built in the Made in Maranello, you’ll need to take the critical life decision of choosing between the fine-dining experience at the Italian Ristorante Cavallino, the authentic Neapolitan pizza at Mamma Rosella, or escape the Italian spirit with the delish international dishes at Il Podio!

End your beautiful experience by shopping at the Ferrari Store to take home a piece of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi for yourself and loved ones.

    YAS Beach

A post shared by Yas Beach (@yasbeach) on Sep 12, 2017 at 6:03am PDT

You and every single member of your family can soak in the sun and get your tanning game on before heading to the races. This will include a variety of cold refreshments for the adults while the kids get to build sand castles on the beautiful and extra-Instagrammable YAS Beach.

A post shared by Yas Beach (@yasbeach) on Nov 6, 2017 at 3:10am PST

This spot is a perfect destination for all ages. The serene view of the sea, the chillaxing vibes, and the thrill-packed beach activities will make you scream “YAS,” mainly because of its flawless combination of fun–beach-day-for-the-family and glamorous-afternoon-of-sophisticated-sun-lounging!

    Oh, and the races, obviously

A post shared by Yas Marina Circuit (@ymcofficial) on Nov 11, 2017 at 9:43am PST

Because your family deserves the adrenaline rush. Holders of the three-day-ticket can enjoy the pit-lane walk on Thursday where they get to watch the cars and the teams up close. Oh, you can also bring your kids for free on Friday! Don’t just watch the races like the average fan, especially when you can take your family to the KartZone and live the true racing experience.

The Oasis Area will provide live entertainment, and will be populated with food vendors because comfort food is the way to go when need help getting through the adrenaline overdose! Celebrate the festive vibes all around the circuit, and take advantage of the opportunities to get up and close with the drivers at the autograph sessions.

WE SAID THIS: Kendrick Lamar’s (clean version of his) songs can also be family-friendly…
