The runways showcasing Spring 2014 collections were flooded with plaid. Guys, girls, around the waist, beanies, coats, skirts, scarves — it was all there. Designers from Moschino to Vivienne Westwood revived the 1990’s inspired print.
And boy am I glad this look is smack back on trend. Nothing like mixing up the black leather with a dash of tartan or pairing statement pieces against a checkered scarf. There’s something about transforming what is thought to be a “granny print” into something straight off the runway.
Another cool aspect about this trend is that it’s not just focused on the females. Both the ladies and gentlemen are getting in on some of the plaid madness.
