Back in the day, Egyptians hardly ever felt the Christmas spirit in the streets of Cairo. In 2016, The Waterway compound in New Cairo showed us a glimpse of what the streets in the holiday season should look like. This year, Event House Egypt went over the top with the festivities.

The Waterway street is hands down the happiest place in Cairo this week. With a gigantic Christmas house tree and a roundabout filled with gifts and bells, kids and adults are going nuts over there. You simply can’t be there without taking at least 50 selfies. Even their Santa Claus is so 2017. He’s giving kids FLO water bottles. How organic/vegan/2017 is that?
