June 30th was a real revolution. The masses who went down the streets asking for the removal of the terrorists were from all walks of the society. I’ve seen the Kanaba, I’ve seen the Folool, I’ve seen the Christians, I’ve seen the revolutionaries, I’ve seen kids, old people, and teenagers.. Everyone was there!
I also noticing the same annoying trend from the so called revolutionaries on dividing the masses by categorizing them and denying them access to a revolution that was for all Egyptians. “Folool are not allowed, we will never walk beside a Shafik supporter..”
Throughout the June 30th revolution, I noticed that as much as I may have my differences with the revolutionaries, I still have respect for the persistence and the passion they have to change the country for the better.
This is the reason why I am sending out this message to them: You are not GOD, you Do NOT know everything, you are NOT above everyone else just because you fought in the streets more than others. Yes I try to imagine having my friend shot in front of my own eyes fighting for the country. But that is no reason for me to become bitter and fight everyone else who didn’t join me in the fight. You chose the fight , others should not bare the consequences of your choice. We went down for the same reason, to get rid of terrorists and win back our country! I will explain my point through the differences between tweets.
Revolutionaries for example would tweet something similar to “7a2 Jica lazem yerga3. Yaskot Yaskot 7okm el 3askar” other tweets were “I am going down to remove the terrorists. I want my country back.” Have you thought for a second if you are against the army, against Shafik supporters, against Ikhwan, against Folool and make fun of Kanaba where would that leave you? You are alone! You’ve become so consumed with your emotions and beliefs that you completely shut off and are living in a bubble of your own.
You call the Folool and Kanaba a bubble, while the irony of things is that the only people in the bubble is you guys! You don’t even realize it anymore because you have shut off completely and refuse to speak with anyone who has a different point of view than you. Yes you are good people, and yes I admire your courage and persistence and yes you love your country, but so do I! So does the Kanaba guy that never went down to protest, so does the Shafik or army supporter.
You do not love Egypt more than any of us. Come out of your bubble guys, learn to accept differences and don’t become another blinded group that will be left alone if you don’t start engaging with others. Ta7ya Masr mesh Ta7ya ay bany2adam or ay Group!
