As a popular dessert spot, it is also known for its kahk which is sold in all its branches for 240 EGP (one kilo box).

What started out as an online, home delivery bakery has now become a store selling everything from groceries to home essentials like laundry detergents. Today, Breadfast, the online store that does it all also has its very own oriental desserts and the infamous kahk. It has been serving up everything from pastries & cakes to oriental sweets and probably the best Danish in Egypt. When it comes to their kahk, it is probably the most expensive option in this list costing 295 EGP per kilo. Despite its hefty price, Simonds is known for its excellent quality kahk packed with a strong sesame flavor. It is very buttery, rich and soft making it a top contender in terms of taste. Served in a fancy golden box making it perfect gift to bring to any large gathering.
NOLA
A passion project of brother and sister Adel and Laila Sedky who noticed that there was market gap in Egypt’s dessert market and that is what led them to open up the first local cupcake store called Nola back in 2010. Beyond their whimsical cupcakes, they are known to make their very own kahk. Many describe their kahk as the melt-in-your mouth and extremely soft kind. It is also known to deviate away from the conventional taste of a classic kahk but it does have its own appeal. Order your box now with one kilo costing 215 EGP.
