Not L Boogie or Z money
Growing up while helping your littles grow up is tough work. I’m still a kid at heart. I want my mom when I’m sick, my friends mean the world to me, and I will forever and ever love Usher, Craig David and Justin Timberlake like a crazed schoolgirl.
But that makes me realize that we’re all kids. We’re just hiding under our grown up clothes and our grown up jobs. And that’s exactly what’s wrong with us. We take ourselves too seriously and like to pretend. It’s like someone sucked the life out of dress up and make believe. Laughter is the best medicine. So is Percocet, but that’s another story we wont get into just yet.
I like to dance with L Boogie like nobody’s watching. I like to twirl Z Money around until we both fall over. And I will forever like to laugh with them till my sides hurt. The problem is that most parents are too busy wiping noses and teaching manners to do that. Now don’t get me wrong, my kids aren’t usually snot faced or rude, but I’d like to focus on more important things… like teaching them to Gangnam rather than to wait their turn. I mean come on, with moves like that I don’t think anyone would care for the latter.
So lets take it upon ourselves to be silly. Lets laugh and play and dance and cuddle while we still can. We’ve all experienced sad and heartbreaking losses that only remind us yet again that life is short. As cliché as this may sound, let’s make the most of it. Now put your computer away and bust a move like nobody’s watching.
