Saudi Arabia is witnessing turning a new chapter ever since Mohammed Bin Salman was appointed as the Crown Prince of the kingdom. From expanding entertainment options in Saudi Arabia, allowing women to drive and diversifying economy, and so much more.
It was females in particular who came out as the real winners with the vast range of oppotunities they’ve been granted. One lady who is making headlines today is Saudi Arabia’s first ever female Ambassador to the United States: Princess Reema Bandar Al-Saud.
Princess Reema is the daughter of Prince Bandar bin Sultan, who served as the kingdom’s ambassador to the United States from 1983 to 2005. The former ambassador had very close relations to the Bush family and was referred to as “Bandar Bush”.
The Princess spent many years in the United States with her father and graduated with a degree in museum studies from George Washington University. The ambassador had been a member of the Saudi Sports Authority and championed women’s participation in athletics. The princess is also known as a leading advocate of female empowerment in the kingdom.
Princess Reema replaces son of the King and Crown Prince’s younger brother, Prince Khaled Bin Salman, as Ambassador to United States. The Princess took to Twitter to express her gratitude to the King and crown Prince of Saudi Arabia for their trust, vowing to do her best to serve her country.
