While interviewing Mohmed Mokhtar, the director of the music video of Mahragan Shaimaa, he told us so many interesting things about the making of the mahragan that caused so much fuss in Egypt lately.
Mokhtar described the making of the video to be one of the smoothest projects he ever worked on. “It took me less than 30 minutes to finish shooting the whole video clip”. Said Mokhtar, stressing the fact that the video did not require any budget, and the process of making it was very simple.
Yousef Sosta, the singer, who performed mahragan Shaimaam told us that he did not expect the crazy attention he received after releasing Shaimaa, referring the success to god’s will and the director’s great vision as he describes it.
By the end of the interview, Mokhtar and Sosta promised us a new mahragan soon that is going to be a new hit in Egypt’s diverse music scene.
