It’s almost winter in Cairo which means temperatures are already beginning to drop. With that fresh cool breeze arriving in the city, many of its residents are making use of the cooler weather by chilling on their balconies or going on leisurely walks along Cairo’s bustling districts. When it comes to dining, this is also a great time when many would want to enjoy their meal in the great outdoors. To mark a fun start to the week, we have compiled a collection of Cairo’s finest outdoor restaurants set among picturesque gardens that you can dine in during the weekend.

    Acacia Restaurant

    Via Cairo Hotels

    Location: Maadi

Nestled in the heart of Maadi, the 1920s Villa Belle Epoque gives us a taste of Cairo’s old charm reflected through its old-style furniture and decor. Its 1300 square meter plot houses a hotel, a glistening swimming pool, a sundeck, and patios that sit under lemon, mango, and guava trees. When it comes to dining, you can enjoy their mixed-cuisine contemporary dishes crafted by the house chef of the Acacia restaurant including five kinds of risotto as well as spicy chicken curry and oriental mix grill. For the full outdoor experience, you can sit outside next to their pool below the intertwining trees including the symbolic Acacia tree from which the restaurant got its name.

To dine at this fine establishment you will need to reserve a table beforehand through their official website or drop them a call on this number: 02 23580265

    The Smokery

    Via The Smokery Restaurants

    Location: New Cairo

Set along the lapping green golf landscape intermingled with picturesque ponds is Katameya Heights’ The Smokery, considered one of Cairo’s top upscale dining destinations. This unique New Cairo branch is known as an event hotspot with weddings, engagements, New Year’s Eve Parties, and more taking place in its expansive gardens, The Smokery is also a place to enjoy the best in fine dining with its eclectic menu offering everything from sliders and seabass to quinoa and sushi.

To reserve a spot at the restaurant, you can give them a call on this number: 0102 601 9175

    Garden Promenade Cafe

    Via Trip

    Location: Zamalek

Originally a visitor’s palace built for the sole purpose of impressing Napoleon III’s wife Empress Eugénie, the Cairo Marriott Hotel and Omar Khayyam Casino has been the ultimate getaway for a royal and luxurious hospitality experience for many decades. The entire hotel seeps in history with its rich architecture and enormous archways all set within six acres of the palace’s rich gardens. Also nestled within this luxurious green landscape is the Garden Promenade Cafe set under a long stretched-out gazebo-like structure marked with richly decorated archways. Exuding spacious outdoor seating, it’s a great place to dine on a sunny Friday morning whether with family or friends where you can enjoy their Italian dishes of Siciliana pizza and seafood penne pasta.

Book a place at this royal garden restaurant using this number: 02 27283000

    139 Pavilion

    Via Local Guide To Egypt

    Location: Giza

Set in the iconic Marriot Mena House, the 139 Pavilion is not merely a restaurant surrounded by beautiful greenery, colorful flowers, and crisp blue lagoons, it also offers unobstructed views of the towering Pyramids. This is the ultimate place to be if you want to escape the bustle of Cairo’s busy streets for a quiet, relaxing atmosphere set in the fresh outdoors. To dine, you can go for their a La Carte menu or an all-you-can-eat buffet. Fresh hammour with ginger coconut curry, Uruguay beefsteak, and grilled salmon are some of the delicacies you can try out from their menu. Prices can be pretty steep though with some dishes costing up to 500 EGP.

To dine in luxury, you can reserve a table using this number: 0106 881 7727

    Villa Beirut

    Via Almasa

    Location: Heliopolis

Set in the expansive sloping green area that houses the luxurious Almasa hotel, Villa Beirut is among many dining establishments sprawled along this luxurious estate. When it comes to the Lebanese restaurant, you will need to take a golf car and travel up a sloping pathway to reach its location. Once you arrive, you will be met with a large building akin to a mansion lined with Greek columns on all four sides. All around you will be endless expanses of trees of different shapes and sizes making you feel like you are on Royal grounds. For their menu, expect to enjoy everything that Lebanese cuisine has to offer from chicken to eggplant fattah and mixed grill.

As the Almasa Estate is known to be a popular wedding destination, expect there to be several weddings taking place along the many outdoor venues around Villa Beirut which will provide great background music as you dine and enjoy your meal.

To try out Villa Beirut during your next outing, you can book a spot using this number: 02 24023680

If you are craving the outdoors then be sure to hit up any of these restaurants during your next weekend for an enjoyable meal set among rich landscapes and great weather.
