I’ve never been the type to do well on quizes or tests and as some may know my memory isn’t all that great, but for some reason from the moment I walked into Intel’s private launch of the Ultrabook I was all ears and alert.
Let me let you in on a little secret about me I’m a gadgets nerd, I LOVE TECHNOLOGY! Yup put me in a Best Buy or any electronics section of a store and I can waste time for hours; growing up I always had to have the newest and coolest little gadgets, so getting a glimpse of what Intel had up its sleeves was a mere joy ride for me!
Upon arriving to Amici I definitely wasn’t greeted by the usual faces that frequent the place, but rather by a quaint young man who immediately asked me what color would I like for my X-Mini speakers?
“What’s that fine sir a giveaway before I even attend your event?” From that moment forward Intel had already won my heart, speakers I can use on the beach or in the office and the night is still young! (I’m easy to please as you can see)
X-Mini Speakers – How Cool?
This was not your ordinary geek fest, but rather a collection of press, young socialites, and business-savy attendees who were all called in to check out the new sleek Intel Ultrabook.
Amongst those attending were one of my favorite Egyptian fashion designers Amina K, Diyaa Nouman of the Toy Boys fame, and the founder of Bey2ollak (the traffic app). All dubbed ambassadors of the brand, they were given the opportunity to take different Ultrabooks for test drives, each one applying it to their field of work and how useful it was for their day to day lives.

I may be an avid Mac user but these guys honestly made me think about giving these new notebooks a chance.
And A CHANCE I was given! A scavenger hunt was arranged by the Intel team, giving one lucky winner the chance to win a new Ultrabook (don’t get ahead of yourselves I did not participate in it. Me running around putting my dignity on the line for a prize does not bode well with me) But I did take part in the questionnaire.
In order for the prize finder to win they laptop they had to answer four questions (in which she didn’t) giving opportunity to everyone else to answer the questions via twitter!
Now remember when I told you I don’t do well with quizzes and tests? For some reason the Scoop Team had a surge of brilliance and answered all four questions perfectly! Low & behold we were called on stage to pick up our new Samsung Ultrabook!

Pretty darn good night if you ask me, new laptop & speakers?! Intel did us good!
