Some of the most iconic landmarks in the country have been featured in some of the biggest blockbusters in the film industry. From the mystical Sphinx to the majestic Nile River, Egypt has always been the perfect backdrop for some of the most epic and unforgettable movies of all time.     Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)

    If you’re a sucker for action-packed flicks and have a soft spot for ancient Egypt, you absolutely need to check out the second Transformers movie. Why, you ask? Because this bad boy is full of epic scenes filmed right in the heart of Egypt. Picture this; the Autobots and the Decepticons facing off in a showdown royale around the Great Pyramids. 

    The film crew actually got special permission from the government to film around the pyramids, and they spent three whole days shooting in a top-secret location. The only problem? News of their presence quickly leaked out, and before you know it, everyone in Egypt was abuzz with excitement. The movie also takes you on a wild ride through Luxor, with jaw-dropping scenes that’ll leave you breathless.

    The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)

    Listen up, Bond fans! Did you know that our favorite British spy has been all over the globe, including a trip to the land of the pharaohs? That’s right, in the 1977 film The Spy Who Loved Me, Roger Moore’s suave Bond jetted off to Egypt for some high-stakes espionage.Some of the scenes were actually filmed at the stunning Karnak Temple in Luxor. Can you imagine the thrill of watching Bond battle it out with the baddies in such an iconic setting? 

    Sean Connery’s Bond also made a trip to Egypt in Diamonds Are Forever. Sadly, the Cairo casino scenes were actually shot in a studio rather than in the real city. But hey, we’ll take what we can get when it comes to our favorite spy. So if you’re a fan of Bond and exotic locales, you gotta check out this film. Just picture yourself wandering through the ancient temples and bustling streets of Egypt, all while getting your adrenaline fix thanks to the one and only 007.

    Malcolm X (1992)

    The biographical film about civil rights activist and Muslim minister Malcolm X, is a powerful portrayal of one of America’s most influential figures. Starring Denzel Washington, this movie takes you on a journey through Malcolm X’s life, including a pivotal visit to Egypt. The movie showcases some significant moments in Malcolm X’s life, including when he worshipped at the Mohamed Ali Mosque in Cairo. The film also features scenes depicting Mecca in Saudi Arabia, which were actually shot in Egypt.     Calling all Marvel fans! Did you know that the 2007 movie Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer features scenes filmed in none other than Egypt? That’s right, our favorite superheroes made a pit stop in this iconic country during their epic adventure. The movie was shot in 14 different locations, each one more breathtaking than the last.     Cleopatra (1963)

    If you’re a fan of classic movies, you must check out Cleopatra. Not only is it Elizabeth Taylor’s most iconic film, but it’s also the one that sparked her epic romance with future hubby Richard Burton. And get this: it almost bankrupted the 20th Century Fox film studio, making it one of the most expensive movies ever made. Talk about high stakes!

    The movie tells the tale of Cleopatra. She uses her wits and charms to seduce both Julius Caesar and Mark Antony in order to save her kingdom.     This movie tells the story of a woman on holiday in Cairo to meet her husband, and her unexpected and passionate love affair with her husband’s friend who accompanies her on her journey. what really sets this movie apart is the stunning visuals of Egypt’s most iconic landmarks. From the Great Great Pyramids and Sphinx to the Khan El-Khalili Market in Cairo.

    This movie also offers a captivating portrayal of Egypt’s rich culture and history. You’ll get a glimpse into the country’s past and present, all while getting swept up in the chemistry between the two lead characters.
