Given the current circumstances that we’re living in, the Coronavirus pandemic has drastically affected many lives and changed the perspective of many in how to view the world, that it’s important to be more compassionate, supportive and reliable individuals and to stand for those who need help; whether it’s emotional or financial.

Many Arab designers have taken social media to be part of making our world a better place by financially supporting individuals who have been affected by the worldwide coronavirus pandemic. Scroll down to find out who, and be part of their initiative.

Donia Ashry is an Egyptian designer who specializes in bridal couture and evening gowns, her dresses are simply breathtaking and suitable for all tastes. Donia has managed to distinguish herself in the fashion scene by dressing many A-list celebrities like Yosra El Lozy among others.

Due to the current pandemic that we’re living in, Donia Ashry Couture believed in social responsibility and understood the importance of giving back to our community during such hard times. Therefore, the designer decided to donate 100% of her profits to the families who have been affected by this ongoing pandemic.

The youngest participant of Project Runway Middle East, Mohanad Kojak, is among the best in the fashion scene. He’s popular for his out-of-the-box designs and his fashion approach that blurs the lines between couture and ready-to-wear.

Kojak just announced that his household name brand will also be donating 100% of the profits from his selected bestsellers to the Abbassia fever hospital. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Abbassia hospital is one of the only 50 public hospitals that are relatively equipped to treat COVID-19 patients. However, with the growing number of cases, and limited medical resources, the pressure is very high on Egypt’s public health system.

Rigash is an up-and-coming brand that was founded by Egyptian stylist and designer Lamia Rady who have participated a couple of times in Paris Fashion Week. She’s known for her trendy and eccentric looks.
