Right now, at this very second, Egypt is in full mourning mode. We find ourselves sad, shivering and suffocating. Eid week was a beautiful and glorious week while it lasted, alas all pretty things come to an end, along with our state of mind.
The 10-day vacation is over and Egypt cannot handle it. We’ve been saying “b3d ElEid inshallah” for so long now that we genuinely never felt the day will actually come when we have to face our postponed chores. From waking up at 5 am to get your kids ready for school, to employees sobbing in their cars on their way to work this and more. This Sunday is hands down the saddest day in the history of Egypt.
One of my favorite people on Facebook (who happens to be a dentist such as myself), Mohamed Moula, has just posted a video, expressing his pure agony now that the vacation is over because everything 7asalet besor3a.
