From TUL8TE to Marwan Pablo: 4 Arab Artists to Get the Spotlight at Berlin Music Video Awards 2025

Who said Arab music videos aren’t global? This June, four standout tracks from the Arab world are making their way to Berlin to be celebrated as part of the Silver Screenings at the Berlin Music Video Awards 2025.

This non-competitive event highlights 250 music videos from around the world that didn’t make the final nominations but still stood out for their creativity, direction, and vision. Think of it as the festival’s way of saying: we see you, and your work deserves to be seen.

Among the global lineup, including names like Beyoncé and Eminem, Arab artists are holding their own with visuals that blend storytelling, identity, and bold aesthetics. Here’s a look at the featured Arab music videos shaking up Berlin this year.

    MATEEGY A3ADY ALEIKY – TUL8TE

TUL8TE’s music video for “MATEEGY A3ADY ALEIKY”, part of the Silver Screenings, is a wild, genre-blurring ride through inner conflict and humor.

The video features TUL8TE and his masked lover navigating scenes that feel like part amusement park, part daydream, and part identity crisis.

Directed by Mahmoud Wed, the visual approach stands out for its clever use of symbols, comedic timing, and surreal storytelling. With a strong indie vibe and memorable visual metaphors, it screams iconic. If Wes Anderson directed an Egyptian trap video? Yeah, kinda like that.

5am in Paris – Saint Levant

Saint Levant’s whole vibe? Global but grounded. Filmed in the magical alleys of Marrakesh, “5am in Paris” gives you aesthetic overload in the best way. The track is directed by Carlos Ramirez, and it taps into Saint Levant’s hybrid identity, floating between Gaza, Algiers, Paris, and LA.

It’s nostalgic, dreamy, and somehow still feels like a diary entry you accidentally stumbled on. This is what it looks like when you turn diaspora heartbreak into a work of art. Berlin Music Video Awards isn’t ready for this.

    Dejavu – Marwan Pablo

Marwan Pablo continues to push the boundaries of visual storytelling with “Dejavu,” a track from his album PRJKTBLUBEAM.

“Dejavu” is like if a techno rave and a post-apocalyptic film had a baby. Directed by Abanoub Ramses, the video is a fever dream set in a dystopian desert. From Teslas to anonymous masks, everything screams chaos.

The camera work is intense and immersive, creating a sense of movement that mirrors Pablo’s experimental sonic style. It’s a visual experience that matches the music’s mood: unpredictable, layered, and disorienting in the best way.

Ostaz Mahmoud Bezzawy – Ahmed Santa x Abyusif

Ahmed Santa and Abyusif come together for a track that feels like chaos, but makes it cinematic.

Set in a theater, “Ostaz Mahmoud Bezzawy” delivers sharp visuals and a stylized tone that mirrors the bold, fast-paced flow of the track.

Directors Korayem and Omar Mano use quick cuts, layered visuals, and retro color palettes to create a surreal experience that pulls you right into the middle of the madness.

Since its release in February 2024 under Universal Music MENA, the video has been turning heads for its bold direction and dynamic atmosphere.

And now it’s time that the global audience of the Berlin Music Video Awards gets to experience this masterpiece.

A Moment for Arab Visual Innovation

The inclusion of these four videos at the Berlin Music Video Awards’ Silver Screenings signals a major moment for Arab artists. Each video reflects a different facet of the region’s evolving visual music scene, one that’s not afraid to experiment, cross genres, or get deeply personal.

At a festival known for highlighting innovation and artistic risk, this Arab presence shows that the scene is not just keeping up, it’s actively shaping global music video culture.

Malak cannot seem to get enough of Literature - so much so that she has pursued it in both her BA and MA, and the love affair is still going strong. Aside from her love for words, humans generally fascinate her. She spends a lot of her time analyzing the minds of people around her and watching criminal minds. She is still fairly new in adulthood, and until now, nothing has made sense in life but chocolate.
