In the last couple of years, especially last year, virtual concerts became very popular all over the world. Artists, bands, and musicians either launched albums live with their entire fanbase watching, or asked their fans on social media and then performed their favorite songs online. But with these live shows, it wasn’t just about the performance, it was about the setting and the place where it was held. Many artists got creative with their choice of place and organised a one-of-a-kind experience for their fans.

Here are some of the virtual concerts that were held in unique, exceptional venues!

    Sebastien Leger

Last October, without an audience, Sebastien Leger held a virtual set in front of one of the most iconic locations in the world, Egypt’s Pyramids. The video reached nearly 1 million views.

    Ash

In the middle of Egypt’s White Desert, Ash played an amazing performance, just a few weeks ago. The virtual show was seen by thousands of fans who watched it online. “It was such an incredible and unforgettable experience filming this and being there with the Cercle team,” said Ash on Instagram.

    Coldplay

In November 2019, Coldplay premiered their new album, Everyday Life, live at the Amman Citadel in Jordan. While the first half was performed at sunrise, the second was performed during the beautiful sunset.

    Cairokee

In collaboration with Vodafone, Cairokee performed for the very first time under water. Cairokee is known for getting creative with their concerts, but this live show was on another level of creativity.

    Mohamed Mounir

Although it’s rare to see “El King” Mohamed Mounir in the media, when we were stuck at home during lockdown, he entertained us with a live streaming session of some of his old songs, taking us back in time and giving us all the nostalgic feels. The setting he chose was mesmerizing. He didn’t disclose the location, but the way it was designed made it look beautiful.

    David Guetta

French superstar David Guetta performed live for his fans worldwide on the helipad of the iconic Burj Al Arab in Dubai. Through this event, David Guetta aimed to raise funds towards supporting UNICEF, as well as Dubai Cares’ Education Uninterrupted campaign.

    Billie Eilish

It’s common for Billie Eilish to perform in unconventional ways, and there are many incidents where she did. In 2019, she performed on a floating bed.
