Back in March, Anas Bukhash appeared on Esaad Younes’ Sahebet El Saada. Now, the roles have reversed, with Younes joining Bukhash on AB Talks. In this special episode, the two hosts had a rich and memorable conversation. Here are some of the highlights:

    Living With 11 Cents

Nothing beats a rags-to-riches story, and Esaad Younes had her own. In the episode, she shares her life after her father passed away when she was 14.

Her family was left with just 11 Egyptian pennies and ended up selling their belongings. They had to find a way to survive. Despite this hardship, Younes rose to become the successful celebrity we know today.

Working From the Age of 10

Younes always had a self-sufficient spirit. At age 10, she indexed her library and began renting books to neighbors for a small fee.

Knocking on doors, she’d say, “Good evening, I’m your neighbor… I’m renting books, 3 cents a day for one book.” Some would be supportive, and some would shut the door on her face, but she still persisted.

    The Start of Her Career

It’s hard not to love Younes, who is known for her authenticity and openness. She entered the world of cinema and TV by building genuine connections, including with actor Nabil Al-Hagrasi, who she later married.

Younes accompanied him to film and theatre rehearsals, saying to Bukhash, “I used to go with him and observe everything.” Through him, she connected with legends like Samir Ghanem, gaining real experience.

    Being a Second Wife

Being on AB Talks means things will get intense; that is why Bukhash explored Younes’ experience as the first wife of Jordanian businessman Ala Al Khawaja, who is also married to the legendary Sherihan, a close friend of Younes.

    Journey as Co-Wife

Younes candidly described the experience, saying, “First, shock. Great shock. Then the normal jealousy, crying, and the drama that comes with it.” What makes her special, though, is how she accepted the situation and developed a deeper bond with Sherihan.

This interview reveals a different side of Esaad Younes beyond her comedic roles in Kamel El Adad and her playful show Sahebet El Saada. Here, she shares her story, showcasing the strength and beauty of her character.
