When summer hits the MENA region, there’s something special about dining in restaurants with outdoor areas. Whether it’s the soft golden light before sunset, a gentle breeze lifting through the air, or the simple joy of eating under an open sky, alfresco dining just feels right.

With restaurants across the region embracing beautiful open-air spaces, now’s the perfect time to plan your summer outings. From all around the region, here are outdoor spots that bring great food and unforgettable views to the table!

    1. 139 Pavilion: Cairo, Egypt

Let’s start where ancient history meets laid-back luxury. At 139 Pavilion, tucked inside the iconic Marriott Mena House, you’re not just enjoying a meal—you’re doing it with a front-row seat to the Pyramids.

The garden terrace stretches out with palms and flowers lining the paths, while the main lawn hosts tables that feel like they belong in a movie set. Whether you’re having breakfast as the sun rises or dinner as it sets behind the Great Pyramid, the atmosphere here is something truly special.

    2. Estiatorio Milos: Dubai, UAE

From the desert to the clouds, Estiatorio Milos at Atlantis The Royal brings the Mediterranean to Dubai in more ways than one. The terrace wraps around the building with clear views of the Palm Jumeirah and beyond, making it one of the city’s most photogenic spots.

The menu leans into fresh seafood and Greek elegance, but it’s the golden-hour glow and rooftop energy that make it a go-to for summer evenings. Think oysters, olive oil, and an unbeatable view.

    3. Fondouk El Attarine: Tunis, Tunisia

Tucked into the old medina of Tunis, Fondouk El Attarine combines traditional design with quiet outdoor seating. The restaurant is set in a restored caravanserai, with a central courtyard surrounded by historic architecture and local touches.

It’s a peaceful option for a midday meal or coffee break while exploring the city.

Located in a restored residence just a short walk from Jemaa El-Fna, Pepe Nero sits within the old medina and remains accessible by car. The restaurant is set around a traditional Moorish courtyard, with warm lighting, olive trees, and softly decorated interiors that reflect both Italian and Moroccan influences.

Besides that, the menu focuses on Italian cuisine, with a few Mediterranean touches, served in a calm and comfortable atmosphere. Whether dining in the courtyard or one of the renovated lounges, the setting offers a quiet break from the city’s usual pace.

    5. Boho Social: Doha, Qatar

Boho Social sits above Katara Beach Club in a circular space designed by Paul Bishop, blending bohemian style with sweeping Gulf views. The terrace is relaxed and airy, while the menu draws inspiration from the Americas, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, offering familiar dishes with a modern twist.

You can choose to dine indoors, outdoors, or in one of three private mezzanine lounges. With its casual atmosphere and espresso bar, Boho Social offers a laid-back dining experience with the feel of a destination spot.

    Dining in the Open Air

These spots are experiences built for the season. So if your summer plans include great food, good company, and a few sunset selfies, you’ve got your map. Save these names, and maybe even turn them into your own MENA alfresco trail!
