None of us should be worried about where the country is going now or its economy or the level of poverty or the fact that the constitution is reshaping our beloved Egypt. To be honest, I lost hope, I stopped following up or watching news or attempting to be part of anything.
Why?
Well, I don’t want the purpose of this piece to divert to a million different reasons why I lost hope which might as well get too personal but what I’d like to share with you guys today is this:

Well, such phenomenons are what interest me the most these days. I don’t mean to sound rude, if there are people that like the idea of the place or feel more comfortable hanging out in a place where there is Islamic music in the background, no smoking policy and no gender mixing, then I am extremely pro the idea.
But the question is, if those people are that much religious, how do they manage to avoid all the smoke, gender mixing and music in the streets on their way to the café?
Well, maybe they think that their intentions of going to a sacred, conservative place like this café make up what they see on their way there. I am just guessing.
What’s more cool about this place though is that there is an area for families, so you get to hang out with your wife and kids in a separate place. But if they suspected that a couple is not married, it is highly likely that they’re going to kick them out politely by explaining to them the café’s policies.
On what basis do they suspect such a thing or what makes them judge whether this couple is married or not is also a riddle I cannot seem to be able to solve. Do they ask for marriage certificates? Check out their wedding rings? Or maybe ask them questions about each other to test if they actually live together or not…
I am actually also curious if they allow unveiled women or girls to hang out there, I think I’ll be brave and go check out the place myself. But if they did not allow me to enter, they’ll be prohibiting me from my own right to experience the place and so contradicting the fact that they made up policies to support their rights of being free and conservative on how they choose to set up their cafe.
Hopefully, I’ll be able to be enter and start getting used to places like these because it seems like it is the beginning of a trend that is about to fire up.
