Santa Claus is coming town, but these Dubai kids are coming right with him. Donning Christmas hats while holding a megaphone and other musical instruments in their hands, a group of school children went on a mission to spread Christmas cheer in their neighborhood.
“We live in Victory Heights in Sports City and when my child noticed that there was no noticeable Christmas cheer around the community, she decided to go around the community with her friends singing Christmas songs, playing instruments, handing out chocolates and spreading as much Christmas cheer as she can,” said one of the parents.
The event witnessed a huge response from community members, another parent has said. It reflected the tolerance and coexistence that exist among expats and Emiratis living in the UAE. The activity lasted for two hours and covered almost 100 villas of the community. Parents supervised their children as they walked around the area to ensure their safety.
