Writer and filmmaker, NaleyByNature on Instagram has taken to social media to express her honest stance on the current situation in Palestine.
In an emotional video posted on her Instagram account, Naley mentions that she has spent months in the West Bank and lived in the homes of both Israelis and Palestinians.
“I find it so difficult to talk, so it shocks me when I open this app and see white people lecturing the children of colonization that this is such a complex issue and we have no right to talk about it as if this is the first time we have ever seen this happen”, Naley Says.
“We are literally watching genocide happen live on television”, she added.
In her time spent in Palestine and Israel, she has learned that the issue isn’t complicated.
“On the one hand, you have Palestinians who simply want to be free and can show you their homes where settlers get to joyfully live in, and on the other side you have Israelis who will tell you god gave them this land.” She told her audience over 12,000 followers.
