The words “Dubai” and “Shopping” never cease to co-exist in every sentence. Dubai is widely known for its extravagant shopping malls and variety of food and beverages outlets that serve all your cravings amidst your long-hour shopping. Fulfilling your shopping needs and going for fine dining afterward, sounds like an everyday plan, no?

But is the huge city of Dubai really limited to just that? Isn’t there any other forms of activities that can become associated with the city, other than shopping malls and F&B outlets? Of course, there are! Dubai is full of hidden gems and activities that need yet further exploring. So, without further ado, here are 12 different things you can do during your stay in Dubai.

    Visit the Dubai Eye

    Via: CNBC

When talking about activities in Dubai, it’s only right that Dubai Eye tops the list. The world’s largest and tallest observation Ferris wheel deserves to be paid a visit and admired. Whether it’s from afar, or right from inside one of its cabins, we assure you there’s no better way to enjoy the majestic views of Dubai’s skyline.

Feast your eyes on Dubai’s Drone Light Shows

    Via Geoscan

When in Dubai, it’s a must you catch the live shows and be mesmerized by an array of bright colors and sights against an impressive backdrop. The Dubai Shopping Festival Drone Light Show never ceases to blow our minds with its high-tech production of themed shows!

The Middle East’s longest-running Drone Light Show has returned to BlueWaters and The Beach for a second edition, with a new show set to feature some of the widely popular songs. The Drone Light Show runs daily between 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

    Night Golf in Dubai

    Via Visit Dubai

While normal golfing is by itself, a lot of fun, try it as the sun sets, and be mindblown with how automatically the joy is multiplied! And, what’s a better place than Dubai to try night golfing in some of the best fully-floodlit grass?

There are several places where you can enjoy one of the most relishing activities in Dubai. This includes Emirates Golf Club, Golf areas at the Address Montgomerie hotel, Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, The Track Meydan Golf, Arabian Ranches Golf Club, and Trump International Golf Club.

Meet you favorite celebrities at Dubai’s Madame Tussauds

    Via Madame Tussauds

This is, hands down, one of the places you should definitely put a foot in once you arrive in Dubai. Who wouldn’t want to meet all his favorite celebs and public figures almost in person—or in clay to be more precise—, but still, so exciting!

Madame Tussauds Dubai is located on Bluewaters Island and can be reached by taking the Dubai metro to Nakheel Harbour and Towers stations.

Watch La Perle – one of Dubai’s most spectacular shows

    Via GetYourGuide

For those who value art and would enjoy a visit to high-end theatres, this one is definitely for you. La Perle by Dragone is an award-winning performance that has captivated the world and is the region’s first permanent show. It combines choreography with daring stunts. Simply, it’s a “breathtaking fusion of immersive artistic performances, imagery & technology”.

You can feast your eyes on the spectacular aqua-staged based live show, created by the artistic director Franco Dragone, at Al Habtoor City, 260 Sheikh Zayed Rd, Business Bay. And, you can book your tickets here. So, gather your family and friends for an unmatched experience!

    Go skydiving in Dubai

    Via Tacdn

For those yearning for some adrenaline-rush kind of activity, you can now have that and so much more when deciding to go skydiving in Dubai. A tandem skydive over the serene views of either a desert/palm area as you float in your parachute will make your heart race even faster!

    Have a dip with dolphins

    Via GetYourGuide

Animal lovers here? If you are, then a nice dip in the pool with some friendly dolphins will be one of the best things you can check off your bucket list. Places like Dolphin Planet at Dubai Dolphinarium and Dolphin Bay at Aquaventure Waterpark, will help you make some dolphin friends!

    Sandboard in Dubai’s powder-white sand

    Via Simply Cruising

If you prefer deserts, Dubai will be the first to open its arms to you. You can go sandboarding along the beautiful chromatic desert, with warm sunlight rays keeping you company all along. There are several tour operators that can guide you as you slide down the slopes of a desert dune, like Desert safari tours, Dubai Private Adventure, and Dubai Dune Buggy Tours.

    Visit Dubai’s world EXPO

    Via Zawya

Do we even need to explain ourselves here? With all its splendor and mind-blowing advent technology, Dubai’s EXPO should be of your top destinations! At Dubai Expo, you can enjoy concerts by top Arab stars or walk around in awe, amid 192 pavilions, myriad exhibitions, hundreds of high-end restaurants, and non-stop activities!

Get yourself an action-filled zip lining experience

    Via Thrillophilia

If you want to go for something new and satisfy this sense of adrenaline you’re longing for, then zip-lining is the perfect activity for you. Hold on as you ride along a steel cable that exhibits spectacular sceneries! X Line Dubai Marina, Adventura Parks, and Jebel Jais Zip Line offer this kind of activity in Dubai.

Go for a hot air balloon ride, maybe?

    Via Tacdn

Craving a walk in the clouds, and not metaphorically? This seemingly farfetched dream isn’t really that farfetched. Because at Dubai’s hot air balloons, you can now have a sky-ride and watch the most magnificent of sceneries, many meters high.

Balloon Adventures Dubai, Hot Air Balloon UAE, and Sindbad Gulf Balloons are among so many other places that can help you slash the dream of catching a glimpse of the sun rise at 4000ft, from your bucket list!

    Finally, relish a good ski!

    Via Trip2Dubai

Do you want to fulfill your childhood dreams of rubbing yourself against the snow and having a snowball fight with your siblings? You can do so while embarking on an adventurous ride in the snow at Dubai’s various ski resorts.

Ski Dubai would serve you a gigantic indoor snow resort, with the opportunity to meet some penguins and learn some master ski moves.

WE SAID THIS: From Water, sand to ice, from entertainment to sports.. Dubai has got the whole package!
