We probably go through using hundreds of electronics every single day, without ever really caring about how exactly do they work or what makes up their insides, as long as they do what they’re supposed to. And let’s face it, for a lot of us, when something breaks down we either try to “fix” it by shaking, dropping or kicking it, or we throw in the towel and leave it to the professionals.

On the other hand, there’s Dina A. Amin, an Egyptian product designer who just can’t help her curiosity about the inner workings, little parts and thingamabobs that make up almost everything she gets her hands on. She’s turned that passion into a project she calls Tinker Friday, where she takes apart discarded everyday objects and brings them to life in the most delightful way by turning them into stop-motion creatures that are full of character.

A mobile phone pouch was actually a superhero in disguise!

What’s inside my Mobile Pouch? ? Lil superhero ✨ She has magnetic powers! What should I name her? ?? #tinkerfriday Music: Rude Pizzicato – Giordano Maselli
