Just when you thought things would stop at this point in the parliament, another MP called Youssry ElMaghazy seems to have gotten a little jealous of Ageena’s spotlight and revealed his master plan to Youm7’s Parlmany.
ElMaghazy’s proposal plan is to not only impose virginity tests on college girls, but also in smaller diploma institutes. And that is to “lower the burden on the state’s shoulder,” and to combat the rise of new prostitutes. Adding that girls in universities now are dressed like belly-dancers and that you would never tell that they’re studying in a university or an institute.
He condemned his other parliamentary colleagues along with the media to have had this violent opposition on his comrade Ageena’s suggestion, saying that he totally supports him because, according to ElMaghazy, many countries impose virginity tests and it wouldn’t be the first time. Little does the MP know that virginity tests are regarded as sexual assault in the international community. Not only that, it is also strongly condemned by the World Health Organization and Human Rights Watch.
“The WHO handbook upholds the widely accepted medical view that ‘virginity tests’ are worthless,” said Liesl Gerntholtz, women’s rights director at Human Rights Watch. “Health authorities worldwide should end the practice of ‘virginity testing’ in all cases and prohibit health workers from perpetuating this discriminatory and degrading practice.”
WE SAID THIS: Also we’re in the 21st century, there are certain operations that can be done to restore the hymen when lost. We’re really shocked people who are hymen fanatics as Ageena and ElMaghazy don’t know that already.
