Egyptian entrepreneur/inventor, Amr El-Gebaly, may have created a game-changing device that will put an end to the immensely overpriced roaming fees.
Roaming fees is a burden for any traveler and you’ll eventually face a huge bill when you’re back unless you miraculously found an alternative solution.
The alternatives, however, aren’t handy in most cases, though. You can’t Facebook call your grandmother, for instance, while abroad. Not to mention that if you actually did end up Facebook calling someone using a 3G connection and not WiFi, the connection is just doomed. Moreover, it’s not really professional to have a business call using Viber or WhatsApp. And let’s not start with Euro trips and buying a new SIM card in each country you hit!
That’s why we think VoxEra proves to be the most efficient alternative to the roaming service. According to their Kickstarter page, this is how it works:

The device is funded through Kickstarter; a website that helps start-ups by raising funds from the crowd who see potential in an idea. They are expected to start shipping out orders in June 2017.
The device is sparking a lot of controversies, though; as the big players in the market are not that excited about losing the money they reap from people who are forced to use roaming fees.
