Spring is finally here and I can’t be more excited! So many things for us to enjoy during this time of year; when it’s not too cold but also not too hot. It’s simply perfect to enjoy a fabulous picnic day with your family and loved ones.

If you’re currently enjoying springtime in Dubai, then it’s time for you to shake off the blanket, pack up your cheese and pickle sandwiches and bust open that punnet of strawberries. All while appreciating the sunny weather in Dubai’s best picnic areas.

So, without further ado, here are a few of the best picnic spots around Dubai!

    Al-Barsha Pond Park

    Via: Time Out Dubai

This pond side park is actually the perfect area for a picnic day. It’s located in Al-Barsha Mall and has a huge lawn that overlooks a lake-sized pond. The park is open daily from 8 am-10 pm.

    Al-Khazzan Park

This park is the first park in the UAE to be entirely solar powered! The park is located in Al-Safa street, directly opposite to City Walk. It’s widely popular among parents as well as kids alike, thanks to its two playgrounds and mini cycle park for children. The park is open from Saturdays to Wednesdays from 8 am-11 pm.

    Burj Park

    Via: Time Out Dubai

Located in front of iconic Burj Khalifa, can you think of a more scenic spot? It’s not only a beautiful park, but you get to sit and appreciate the world’s tallest tower and enjoy the view of the Dubai Fountain, as well as the Dubai Mall. Also, the best part about this park is that you get to rent a bike and ride around burning those calories from the sandwiches you probably just had. Burj park opens from Saturdays to Thursdays from 6:30 am-8 pm.

    Jumeirah Lakes Towers Park

    Via: Godayuse

This large public park is open 24 hours! If you go on any given day, you will find joggers hitting the track, people exercising, ballers scoring on some hoops, or a few random people admiring the fountain on a fine picnic day.

    Mushrif Park

    Via: Whats on

It’s a family oriented park, located in Deira, where you get to try pony/horseback-riding, enjoy a family picnic day, or simply stroll with your kid under the shady trees! This place offers barbecue areas, sports areas, playgrounds, and a swimming pool. It opens from Sundays to Wednesdays from 8 am-6 pm.

    Zabeel Park

    Via: Dubai Season

You can find Zabeel park in the northern part of Downtown Dubai and Dubai Trade Center. This place offers a lot of things for you to enjoy that you could literally spend the whole day there and still feel a bit resentful when it’s time to go home.

It’s the perfect picnic hangout; there are boat rides, restaurants, live music, and barbecue spots. The park opens from Saturdays to Wednesdays from 8 am-10 pm, and on Fridays from 8 am-11 pm.

    Al-Wadi Desert

    Via: Amoma

It’s a desert picnic spot at the Ritz-Carlton, Ras Al-Khaima. It’s where you get to connect with culture and nature in the middle of a 1,235-acre protected reserve. This place offers a desert biking adventure you’ll never forget! You get to also arrange a desert trek on the back of a camel or a horse, a private arch lesson, or a simple evening of stargazing.

    Al-Qudra Lakes

    Via: Gulf News

This is the perfect spot for a picnic, desert cycling, and more. This natural reserve is actually the first open protectorate in the UAE; where you get to meet desert foxes, oryx, birds, and other local wildlife! This place is open 24/7 and located in Al-Marmoom Desert Reserve.
