Feeling inspired? Feeling creative? Craving a way to create something out of nothing? Across the region are unique workshops that will teach you new and creative skills. These are our handpicked activities that we believe you need to try this summer:

    Cairo’s Azza Fahmy Design Studio

Azza Fahmy’s jewelry is unlike any other, as each piece emulates the aristocracy and advancement of Egypt’s ancient civilization. Having honed her skills while working as an apprentice at Khan El Khalili, Egypt’s ancient jewelry quarter, Fahmy became the expert in all things ancient Egyptian jewelry.

Now, you can follow in her footsteps by attending her very own specialized jewelry-making and design school, the Design Studio. Throughout the month of August, many courses are on offer, including “The Making Process—Basic Jewelry Techniques” and their Two-Day Ring Workshop.

    Dubai’s Mini Lunchbox Cake Decorating

Cake lovers rejoice! At Rise’s Bakehouse, beyond indulging in their mini lunchbox cakes, every now and then, they launch their very own cake decorating workshop.

For 210 dirhams per person, you and your friends can opt for their private mini lunchbox cake workshop. You get to pick between their vanilla or chocolate mini lunchbox cakes and then you get to learn to decorate them to your liking.

At these private cake decorating workshops, the lesson is held in the main kitchen with light bites and drinks served in the entrance area. To book a spot, you can fill out this event inquiry form.

    Riyadh’s Keychain Workshop

A workshop many would not think of is bringing something different to the fold. All the way in Riyadh is a spot called Creative Hub that offers different kinds of workshops.

One of their unique and fun workshops is a keychain-decorating class. In the class, you are given a tiny bear, which you can then dunk into different-colored paint to create your final keychain.

To take part in this fun workshop, you can book a spot by WhatsApping them using this link.

    Kuwait’s Mirror Decoration

We know that your mirror is already cool, considering that you’re its main view (wink, wink). Yeah, it is always good to get cheesy. The thing is, though, there is a way to glam up your mirror even more.

Kuwait has a special spot specialized in arts and crafts workshops, with one of the classes dedicated to mirror decoration.

In the workshop, you’ll get to shape different colored playdough into anything you like whether it is flowers, ducks, you name it. Then you stick the playdough onto the mirror, giving it that cool 3D effect. If this is the type of workshop for you, you can take part by sending them a message on Instagram.

    Bahrain’s Candle Making Classes

Many of us have a love for the special ritual of lighting a candle and savoring its delectable scent while chilling in our homes.

Now, there is a way to up that experience by creating your very own scented candle. At Bahrain’s Scent Studio, you and your friends can attend candle-making classes, where you’ll learn how to create your own signature scent.

You and your friends can book a spot to take part in this unique workshop through their website.

These are just some of the ways to get your creative juices flowing this summer. Tell us which workshop you are most excited to try and what other kinds of workshops you have tried out so far!
