The legendary house of fashion, Chanel, is now 112 years old! Founded by Gabrielle Chanel, the pioneering businesswoman ahead of her time, she forged a meaning in fashion and became an inspiration for all women. Chanel didn’t conform, is superfluid, has made memorable works, from clothing, perfumes, shoes, accessories, and almost all of them are timeless. In celebration of Chanel bringing its Cruise 2021/2022 to Dubai on November 2nd, we bring to you seven of Chanel’s most iconic pieces.

The show will be Chanel’s second show in Dubai since the 2014/2015 collection, and are back now after a tough year of quarantine. Chanel’s Cruise collection is all about soft feathery details, plush outwear, edgy elements, and playful beading. The Creative Director Virginie Viard is bringing a punk-edged rock-chick collection to Dubai, replicating the end of the 1910s decade in all its glamour!

In 2005, Chanel released the Reissue 2.55 bag, a special rectangular twisted lock and chain design!

The double-C emblem is embedded on almost everything, from handbags, necklaces, shoes, to brooches. But the earrings are a whole other thing with its diamond-studded timeless element.

    Chanel No. 5

Made in 1922, Chanel launched its first perfume. It’s called number 5 because it’s Gabrielle’s favorite number. The perfume is famous for its distinct fragrance, and it was favored by Marilyn Monroe.

    The Little Black Dress

Challenging all social norms, Coco Chanel changed the rules by creating the little black dress, and it became a uniform for all women of taste, popularizing the color black.

    Two-tone Slingback Shoes

The revolutionary shoes were made in 1957. They were instantly seen worn by celebrities, and what made them special was their nude and neutral color.

    Embroidered Cotton Dress

The embroidered cotton dress is an iconic, all-time dress. It works for the summer and matches all body shapes.

In 1925, Gabrielle introduced tweed jackets which were inspired by her lover’s clothes at the time. They were comfortable and easy, and the tweet suits and jackets are now marked as a Chanel trademark.
