Eid Al-Adha is celebrated across the world by feasting on glorious food, but let’s face it, we need to spice up our recipes. This one goes out to all of us who are sick and tired of the same old fattah recipes. To change things up, here are five lamb recipes with a twist.

    Moroccan Lamb Tagine

Morocco is famous for their tagine which has been intrinsically rooted to their culture for many years. The slow-cooked, savory stew mixed with Moroccan herbs and dried fruits is packed with rich flavor, making it an all-star among Moroccans and Arabs alike. Along with the many ways to make the dish, one of the most popular go-to versions is of the lamb tagine. To learn how to make this special dish, check out video showcasing how to make a delicious Moroccan lamb tagine. Making the tagine will give you the perfect Eid twist your dinner table needs.

    Lamb Biryani

For a fiery quick and an exciting burst of flavor, it’s time to explore the widely adored Indian cusine. Along with classic dishes like butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, a crowd favorite is a simple dish of biryani, the layered rice dish made of Indian spices, rice, fresh herbs and a protein. For a unique twist on a classic lamb dish, we recommend going for a lamb biryani recipe which is easy to prepare and is as tasty as lamb gets. The blending tastes of basmati rice, fried onions, raisins, saffron, and yoghurt are truly mouth-watering. To find out how to make the dish, watch the video above for a step-by-step walkthrough.

Garlic & Herb Marinated Lamb With Potatoes

Lamb recipes don’t have to all be packed with flavor and fiery in nature, you can also go for a simpler, toned down recipe that is equally as delicious. In this YouTube video by Tasty, you get to see lamb made in 5 different ways but our favorite though version though is the garlic and herb marinated lamb with baby potatoes.

    Italian Lamb Stew

Lovers of Italian food will definitely appreciate this recipe made by Gennaro Contaldo, an Italian chef and restaurateur who decided to whip out a slow-cooked lamb recipe packed with Italian flavor. In the video, you will see him adding celery, cherry tomatoes, and chili to create an Italian take on a classic lamb dish. Try it out for yourself and let us know what you think.

    Greek Lamb Kebab

Bid your farewell to classic fillets and fried meat, and go for kebab sticks. These Greek inspired kebabs are chargrilled for maximum flavour, and served alongside a delicious, fragrant baba ganoush. Nothing beats that charred flavor combined with the juicy texture of the skewered lamb kebabs. To try out this recipe, watch the entire video to learn the step-by-step process of creating this unique dish.

With all these recipes, you will get to take a refreshing break from classic lamb dishes that are usually served during Eid. Time for a break from the classic fattah and instead a global gastronomic journey into Italy with the lamb stew or Greece with the juicy lamb kebabs.
