    Ramadan is a funny time of year its consumed with so much food and shesha you would think you would have had enough of both by the end of it. 

    I like most actually like having fetar at home, you are so stuffed after that all you want to do is bum around and to be honest with the summer heat not being so accommodating this year its kind of the safer bet. Yesterday deciding we would live on the edge a little and after multiple recommendations we decided to head over to Caracas one of the coolest and well put together restaurants I have seen in Egypt. It is located in Arkan (what I like to call our mini Solidare) in 6th of October.

    We got there at 6pm no pre ordering no nothing, it was obvious that allot of people were regulars as they seemed to know the waiters by name, speaking of the service they were on top of things in general coming back every five minutes to clear anything that needed clearing and just making sure we were happy.

    Caracas is a Lebanese outlet so as usual we went all out, we ordered your typical sambousak’s and what nots but what I recommend is their Basterma & Cheese sambousak’s. They come in a spring role fashion but are to die for also a must order is their Lebanese sausage with y favorite thing in the world Gibs Roman FANTASTIC!

    For the mains, the generic shich taouk anf kofta which satisfied but it was the Keba Laban and the Kofta Laban a specialty of theirs, is baked Kobeba served in a yoghurt sauce, served with rice it is amazing. Please note that if you intend on just ordering this dish to share with a table of 4 that literally 3 to 4 pieces are served not a great quantity but filling none the less.   

    What i truly need to give credit to this place for is there attention to detail and design. Like a few places we see now allot more care has been put in to venues whether it be Zooba or Nola to Left Bank and now Caracas. The theme of the place is blues, purples and the touch of green associated with the plants surrounding the venue. It has very comfortable seating and is just over all a very nice place to either sit and have a meal or even a shesha which I hear is great but didn’t get a chance to indulge in.

    The pricing is moderate we paid 500 LE between 3 people, (please note this was with a couple drinks each and leftover food that was taken in a doggy bag as the plates were over flowing off the table). 

    Although I am told this is their second branch the first being in Medan Lebnan, Mohandeseen, the outdoor space and pleasant atmospher seems much more appealing out here in the suburbs then in the zahma of the city.
