There’s something about seeing Muslims pray, all united together under one mosque, aligned and peaceful, that makes our hearts burst with emotion.

Last night, on the night of the 27th of Ramadan – which is said to be Laylet el Qadr –  the mosques were filled with devotees coming to perform Salat El Taraweeh and it was beautiful.

Take a look at Muslims around the world praying in harmony and peace and see for yourself how beautiful and heartwarming it is.

Muslims throughout the world are marking Ramadan - a month of fasting during which the observants abstain from food, drink and other pleasures from sunrise to sunset. After an obligatory sunset prayer, a large feast known as 'iftar' is shared with family and friends. (AP Photo/Emrah Gurel)

Millions of Muslims around the world will mark the start of Ramadan on Thursday June 18, a month of intense prayer, dawn-to-dusk fasting and nightly feasts. Muslims follow a lunar calendar and a moon-sighting methodology that can lead to different countries declaring the start of Ramadan a day or two apart. (AP Photo/Emrah Gurel)
