The Great Gatsby’s trailer opens with a mesmerizing shot of NY in the Jazz age, as Kanye West and Jay Z’s No Church in the Wild plays in the back ground! The movie is an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic. If you read the novel, you’ll understand my utter obsession with this movie, because the Great Gatsby is one impossible story to film. It takes place in a wonder- like world and leaves a whole LOT to the reader’s imagination. Gatsby himself did not materialize until the 3rd chapter! But then again, who better than Baz Luhrmann can actually bring our wildest imagination to life? He already nailed the casting choices. There is no one more suitable to play Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan than Leonardo Dicaprio and Carey Mulligan.
This is a tale of impossible love and high-voltage tragedy.
Bad news is that showtime has been postponed to summer after it was scheduled for Christmas. Makes it even more worth the wait.
Good news is, the movie will be in 3D! … Can life get any better?
