Every year, the Cannes Film Festival delivers a spectacle of cinema and style, and this year, Arab celebrities truly stole the spotlight. From legendary icons to rising stars, they graced the red carpet with presence and bold fashion choices that turned heads and sparked conversations.

Here’s a look at the Arab stars who brought both glamour and pride to the opening ceremony of Cannes 2025.

Stepping onto the red carpet with a striking presence, Youssra never disappoints when it comes to red carpet moments. This year, she dazzled in a flame-scarlet gown by Rami Kadi Couture.

With its asymmetric draping and bold color, the look was a perfect match for her timeless elegance and confident presence.

She elevated the ensemble with striking green Chopard jewels that beautifully contrasted the red, adding an extra touch of drama.

From her simple, elegant makeup to her classic hair, Youssra proved once again that style isn’t just about fashion, it’s about owning the moment.

For her look at the Cannes Film Festival, Amina Khalil lit up the red carpet in a custom Rami Kadi Couture gown. It was an ethereal halter-neck design crafted from blush pink lurex with a sculpted bodice and soft, feathered layers.

The look felt light, romantic, and full of movement, perfectly capturing her graceful presence. Styled by Mohamed Ashraf and adorned with dazzling Chopard diamonds, Amina’s entire ensemble came together like a modern-day fairytale.

    3. Bella Hadid in Saint Laurent

Making a statement with an adventurous yet refined look, Bella Hadid chose a custom black Saint Laurent gown for her return to Cannes. With a daring thigh-high slit and a cowl neckline revealing just enough skin, she managed to deliver sultry without crossing the line.

The open-back design, paired with sleek heels and emerald-toned statement jewels, gave her look a stunning finish. Bella proved again that when it comes to the Cannes red carpet, she plays by her own rules—stylishly so.

    4. Raya Abirached in Georges Chakra

No stranger to red carpets, Raya Abirached used this moment to show off her timeless beauty. She arrived at the Cannes Opening Ceremony in an incredibly draped chocolate silk gown by Georges Chakra, exuding confidence.

Also styled by Mohamed Ashraf and paired with exceptional Cartier pieces, her look struck a balance between classic and contemporary.

With soft waves by Al Sagheer Salons and glowing makeup by Sarbast Gli for Dior Beauty, Raya’s appearance felt effortlessly polished.

    5. Shanina Shaik in Sophie Couture

Australian model Shanina Shaik—of Saudi, Pakistani, and Lithuanian descent—brought breathtaking glamour to the Cannes red carpet in a striking black strapless gown by Sophie Couture.

The sculpted bodice and crystal-embellished peplum at the hips gave the look a bold, sculptural feel, while the sheer, glittering skirt with teardrop details flowed into a delicate train. Shanina didn’t just open the red carpet—she owned it with brilliance and poise.

    6. Nadine Nassib Njeim in Tamara Ralph

Turning heads, Nadine Nassib Njeim arrived in a breathtaking white gown by Australian designer Tamara Ralph that channeled pure romance. The look featured a heavy satin bustier, a mermaid silhouette, and a draped crepe cady skirt.

On top of that, it was adorned with delicate crystals, mother-of-pearl details, and soft iris florals.

With opera-length gloves and a diamond necklace, she brought a regal touch to the moment.

    7. Alice Abdel Aziz in Nour Abdul

Adding a vintage touch to the red carpet, Alice Abdel Aziz walked in a dazzling fuchsia gown by Kuwaiti designer Nour Abdul. This marked the debut of her upcoming couture collection. The figure-hugging dress was embroidered with silver threads and featured cascading fuchsia fringe, adding a touch of Art Deco elegance.

She styled her hair in a sleek, low bun and kept her makeup minimal, letting her diamond waterfall earrings by Damiani take the spotlight.

    Arab Stars, Global Impact

From classic elegance to daring couture, this year’s Cannes Opening red carpet saw Arab celebrities owning the spotlight in their own ways. Whether in bold colors, Art Deco-inspired looks, or sparkling details, they brought style, culture, and confidence to one of cinema’s biggest stages—and we were here for every moment!
