Abu Dhabi is raising the stakes in the luxury tourism game with the launch of its Golden Quay initiative. By offering UAE Golden Visas to superyacht owners, the emirate is not just inviting them to dock at its world-class marinas but also creating a gateway to unparalleled investment opportunities and a lifestyle of exclusivity.

The Golden Quay to Abu Dhabi Initiative

The Golden Quay to Abu Dhabi initiative offers superyacht owners a 10-year UAE Golden Visa, granting long-term residency and opening doors to luxurious living and business opportunities.

Introduced in 2019, the Golden Visa allows foreign nationals to live, work, and study in the UAE with 100% business ownership. Recently, the UAE even removed the minimum AED 1 million down payment for real estate investors, further enhancing its appeal.

Through Golden Quay, yacht owners now gain access to this elite residency program!

    Eligibility and Nominating Process

To qualify for the Golden Quay initiative, yacht owners must have vessels that are 40 meters or longer. Yachting executives, including CEOs, major shareholders, and service providers, are also eligible.

Yas Marina and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) will manage the nomination process by selecting the most eligible candidates. Plus, immediate family members of the nominees can also be considered for the Golden Visa.

Abu Dhabi is clearly stepping up its game as a first-class hotspot, and the Golden Quay initiative is at the heart of that push. Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General for Tourism at DCT Abu Dhabi, believes this program will play a major role in boosting the city’s luxury tourism and yachting sectors.

It’s all part of the bigger picture of Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030, designed to attract high-net-worth visitors and position the emirate as a world-class destination for the elite.

Through the Golden Quay initiative, yacht owners are invited to explore Abu Dhabi’s thriving economy and connect with key players in the region’s growth sectors.

Hareb Al Mheiri, Executive Director of ADIO, emphasizes that the initiative opens up diverse pathways for entrepreneurs and fosters meaningful engagement between global investors and the country’s robust market.

The Golden Future of Yachting in Abu Dhabi

The Golden Quay initiative unlocks exclusive benefits for yacht owners, offering long-term residency, access to investment opportunities, and top-notch facilities.

This visionary program underscores Abu Dhabi’s ambition to become the ultimate destination for luxury yachting and tourism, setting a benchmark for sustainable growth and global prestige.
