At times like these, it’s heartwarming to see nations supporting each other, even through simple, yet meaningful gestures.
This morning, the security team at Dubai International Airport welcomed UAE residents arriving from Beirut with white roses. The roses had a note with a quote from the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Founding Father, that said: “Rebuilding Lebanon is like rebuilding UAE”, to show solidarity with the Lebanese people. To add to that, they were given special permission to use the fast track lane designated for GCC nationals, to speed up their passport control process.
Social media users have been circulating the pictures, expressing their gratitude to the UAE for their efforts and support, since the beginning of the crisis.
