Whether you want to admit it or not, we’ve all had our emo phase; from telling our parents not to tell us what to do, to bangs covering half of our faces, to sad Myspace statuses, and of course, emo music.
There was nothing really special about emo bands. Their songs were basically pop music that are trying to slide as rock or punk. The only thing that was consistent about them was that they looked extremely lame, but young us obviously thought they were the coolest thing on the motherfreakin’ planet.
