While the Pokemon Go’ers in the rest of the world are binge-gaming, a new campaign that aims to spread awareness about the war in Syria shows Syrian kids as Pokemons waiting to be rescued; the results are heartbreaking.

The post reads: I’m in Kafr Nabl, in Idlib’s countryside, come rescue me.

A Syrian boy in Kafr Nabl, a town in Idlib, wishes he were a Pikatchu that could be caught out of the civil war that has been tearing the heart of Levant into shreds.

The post reads: I’m in Kafr Nabl, in Idlib’s countryside, come rescue me.

Idlib has been one of the deadliest war zones of Syria, it is used as a platform for the ongoing battle between Russian and Syrian regime forces. Hospital and resident areas were not exempted from the bombing and raiding of Assad’s troupes.

This Squirtle is in Kafr Nabudah, a village in the city of Hama.

    The Situation in Hama

Hama has been flaming with operations involving setting cars on fire. The governorate is being held by all the fighting parties in Syria. You can imagine how bad things are right now – or no, you can’t.

    3. Syrian Marill found in north Hama

This Syrian Marill was found in Kafr Zita, he also wants to be rescued from the civil war.

WE SAID THIS: These Syrian Pokemons have been dodging bullets, bombs and airstrikes for five years. It’s about time we went to catch’em all, don’t you think?
